AMH and LH levels really high!

Hi everyone, I'm just beginning the ivf journey. I had my blood results today: AMH over 100 and LH 24. I am 35, have lean pcos and was told this is typical of my 'dense' pco. Does anyone have similar results? The consultant was helpful but I went a bit blank and forgot to ask him some questions: hope you can help! I've got to wait for an operation (ovarian drilling) is this because i am at risk of follicle over stimulation? How long should I expect to wait for this procedure (Welsh NHS)? Any advice or experience appreciated xxx

Hi Rach I can’t completely relate but my AMH was 71.5 which is really high, I have PCOS and an underactive thyroid! I just had lower doses to start when I started the injections to make sure I didn’t over simulate. I managed to produce 9 follicles but only retrieved two eggs. Both eggs fertilised (ICSI) privately in Cardiff , I had one egg put back in and one frozen and It’s my official test day tomorrow so fingers crossed! Things will work out for you too! Best of luck 🤞 xx

Thank you 😘 once you have your appointment you will feel so much better! I found writing any questions down as soon as I thought of them helped at my first appointment! Hope It’s not too long a wait for you. X

Hi Rach82. The ovarian drilling will allow for escape routes for eggs to get out when you ovulate. At the moment you will have too many follicles not getting to the desired size for ovulation to occur. This procedure will help either naturally or with IVF. Good luck! Diane
