Hi All. I’m looking for some advice or info on AMH levels. After suffering from a chemical miscarriage in 2020, a MMC at 11+2 in Jan 2022 and an ectopic in Dec 2022, I have been referred for fertility investigation. I have already been advised that we won’t qualify for NHS funded IVF as hubby has a son already so natural conception will be our only hope as I can’t afford to self fund.
I have recently had blood screening for thrombophilia (results still pending) and yesterday I got a letter to say that my AMH level was 3.7 and that this will be discussed at my next appointment (not until October). I have no idea what this figure means but after a quick google I’m worried that this might be too high for my age (37) and could indicate PCOS. During a post surgery ultrasound I was advised that there is a large cyst on my ovary and several lesions in my uterus, likely fibroids. I am having an MRI tomorrow to get a better view of the fibroids situation.
Has anyone got any experience that they would be willing to share about AMH levels and links to cysts/ fibroids etc? I’m grateful to the NHS consultants who are trying to help me but none of this was explained and I can’t bare waiting until Oct for my next appointment. Sorry for long post and thanks in advance.
love and hugs to all xx
