I suffer from really painful periods but I am able to get through the days with my stock of ibuprofen. However I am not allowed to take ibuprofen during stims and paracetamol has no effect on me. I'm due to start this weekend and dreading how I will get through the first 3 days of extreme pain without ibuprofen.
Hi Renee, I have painful period since day 1. I ended up in A&E couple of times when I couldn’t cope with the pain and passed out. Im always laying down, get some sleep and drink plenty hot brown sugar and ginger water to get through my first 2 days. Wish you best of luck this time.
Oh wow you must get it really bad to have ended up in A&E! Was it just from period pains or related to the injections you were taking? Thanks for the tips on the hot sugar and ginger water, will definitely give that a try. x

Hi Renee1987. Yes, I agree with the hot ginger and sugar or honey. Make sure you don't constipated either, as that could add to the discomfort. Hope all soon settles down. Diane
Yes, it’s always been awful every month. Make me so sick, and just like rebirth after. Still looking a way to ease the pain apart from taking ibuprofen. After years ,my gp finally referred me to take an ultra sound scan next month to see what’s the cause.
Hi Renee. Hot water bottle always helped me with AF cramps...is not like ibuprofen but help a little to relax. I heard not to use it after tranfer though!! Good luck!!
