Bleeding during burserelin injections.

Is it normal to have a period while doing the injections. I am 15 days into doing my injections and started bleeding today. I wasn't told to expect a bleed so am a bit concerned. Is this normal? Thanks. 😕

Hi Jenkins89,

My nurse told me to expect a bleed after stopping the pill and starting buserelin, so I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Yes this is normal. I started mine on the 4th April. My period started on the 16th and after my baseline scan last thurs they've kept me on them till this thursday. I am still bleeding.

The bureselin is to put your ovaries to sleep and thin your lining so a bleed is normal.

Hello 

It's completely normal and the clinic will be looking for you to have had a bleed so tie lining is nice and thin. I started to bleed around day 11. I still had some light bleeding at my baseline scan but again I was told that was normal.

You need to have a bleed. Buserelin needs to stop everything and you need your lining thin, before going on stimulation drugs to increase a fresh healthy lining. The heavier the bleed the better. Good luck.
