Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any advice or experience about this? Had BFN month ago after failed ICSI. Have 1 frosty in the freezer. Any help is much appreciated. Feeling deflated... not sure which way to go, want to feel more positive but struggling. Thanks all xx

Hi Em i’m so sorry it didn’t work out last month! I think you need to discuss the pros and cons with your clinic. Natural cycles have worked best for me but do what feels right for you after advice from your doctor/clinic xxx

Thanks Natalia, when they offered the FET they said for us to make up our minds so struggling a little! Have you had success with natural FET? So scared that my body can’t do what it should so why would it do this properly?! Just feeling low and little out of hope at the moment which is silly compared to what others on here go through. How long did your natural FET take? What drugs did you have to take if any? Thanks for replying x

Please don’t worry! Try a natural cycle and trust your body. The worse thing that can happen is that your lining isn’t triple layered and thick enough in which case you can try a medicated cycle the following month (your frosty is on ice until you’re ready and the environment is perfect 😉). Natural cycle worked twice for me and i’m currently pregnant after a natural cycle in March. You don’t need any meds until you start the progesterone pessaries 4 or 5 days before the FET and of course the trigger shot at the right time around day 14 xxx

Hi, like you I had a bfn and have one frosty left, it scares me thinking about my lost round of IVF. Try to focus on the good things in your life, that make you happy 😃. Best of luck xx

My cycle was semi-medicated in that I didn’t down regulate which was a huge blessing as I dislike down regulation side effects a lot! I started on oestrogen tablets with my period then progesterone pessaries five days before transfer. This meant they could control timing and meant I could have my transfer done by my preferred consultant. I only had to have one scan. It turned out they did my transfer exactly five days after I would usually ovulate so all my dates have worked out perfectly so far as it can be dated like a natural pregnancy. And it worked- I’m 11 weeks.

I knew from two failed fresh transfers that I don’t usually have any lining issues so I wasn’t worried about that. I did have side effects when I was just on the oestrogen but they balanced out once I was on the progesterone too.
