I had my FET yesterday and am continuing 10mg progynova and the evil progesterone pessaries! I’m trying not to pin anything on this cycle and just see what happens in 2 weeks (it’s going to be a looooong 2 weeks!!).. But, as I have had to up my progynova mid cycle, I now only have enough till the day after test day.. The clinic said to check whether my GP is ok to prescribe me with the additional drugs if we are lucky and it works, which I have an appointment next Tuesday to find out. If not, they will give me a private prescription and have told me to check local pharmacies to ensure I can get them in time.. My question is, how much roughly will this cost and do pharmacies generally stock these? I was thinking that as these are HRT drugs that hopefully, it shouldn’t be too hard to get hold of if needed at last minute.. xxx

First of all congratulations on your transfer all fingers crossed!! If you’re struggling with the pessaries i’m using them analIy which is much easier, less messy and no irritation at all (Cyclogest 400. If you’re on Utrogesten you can ask to swap to Cyclogest as I did). It absorbs really well in your system. Progynova is v easy to get hold of, you can order from any chemist and they can get them in next day. I had a natural cycle this time so I didn’t need them But if you’re London based you’re welcome to pick them up (I have loads) Good luck xxx
Thank you for your reply! Congratulations on your pregnancy too! Exciting stuff! ❤️
I’m unfortunately on utrogestan which aren’t too bad, just messy! I may ask to swap to cyclogest if this one doesn’t work tho as I’ve heard it’s a bit easier!
I’m in Kent so a little far away from London but thanks so much for the offer! I will visit my local pharmacy next Tuesday after seeing my GP to see what the crack is! I don’t want to assume I’ll need them (being cautiously optimistic is so hard!), but want to make sure I have a plan if it all works! 🤞🏻 Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy! Xx
Thanks so much!! Don’t worry at all, you can access them easily if you need to. See how you get on but if the pessaries are irritating you after a while I promise Cyclogest is a breeze in comparison and it’s no bother for them to swap you onto it. Wishing you the best of luck and let me know if you need anything xxx
