Round 2? appt with clinic

Hi ladies

Well after my BFN 2 weeks ago after my first IVF I was well devasted is an understatement. When I had egg retrieval (which mine was horrendous by the way I was screaming the place down in pain..,they don't fully put you out in NZ! Apparently the "good drugs" were suppose to be good and not make me even remember anything...eeerrrmmm wrong! I will never forget it) Anyways so after that hell chamber I was ecstatic to hear they retrieved 15 eggs! (I'm 38) so that was good numbers! Next morning get the call 14 were mature! Woop and 11 had fertilized overnight! (We did ICSI) Woop woop! So I was over the moon thinking well surely at least 1 or 2 will be good for freezing and have 1 good one for fet. So in NZ they don't even look at them till 5 day when they are blastocyst so showed up at clinic ready for transfer and to find out how all my embies were and how many I could freeze. Well we had 1 good but not great embie to transfer and NONE made it to freeze?!!! I was just devasted! Is this common to have so many embies and NONE make it to freeze? Like I don't understand what went wrong?? Anyways we have our follow up appt on Monday I'm guessing to decide when or if we want to start our 2nd and only round of government funding left, so what sort of questions do you ladies think I should be asking? Like what went wrong? Was it sperm or eggs? What can we do different...anything else I should be asking? I don't know how I will cope with another round of this and having the same devastating outcome again And to make matters worse if it doesn't work we just don't have the money to fund it ourselves. Sorry for the big spiel ladies but any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated xx
