Omg that is confusing!!!! I reckon the one from the clinic is broken! 💙 The Clearblue can't be wrong twice.. I hope you get a helpful answer when you phone them.
I remember the clinic gave me a test and the lh indicator (or whatever its called) was really low. There should be a level marked on the packaging. Clearblue are much more sensitive as they are early detector tests. I'm sure I tested about 4 times in that first couple of days with different brands of tests! xx
This happened to me but it was a cheap Asda one I tested with on the Friday and I was negative then I did a clear blue one and it said 1-2 weeks pregnant I then then tested again with a cheap test few days later was negative I panicked and got a other clear blue came back positive now am 14 weeks pregnant, I say ur pregnant and congrats Xxx
Good luck. I think clear blue are very reliable and I’m sure you are pregnant. xoxo
Hiya I’m concerned for you. How many days past ovulation are you? These little square tests with the dipstick thing the hospital give you are definitely not very sensitive that’s for sure but I’ve at least had a faint line as early as 12dpo..... I’d get some clear blue non digital and try those. Do your first wee of the day tomorrow morning then do another one the next day. The best sign is having 2 identical tests where the line has darkened over a period of time. In a 38 hr period the hcg level should double.
I spoke to the lovely nurse at our clinic just now and she said it is positive if the 2 Clearblue tests have come back positive. She also said they’ve had a few people with the same thing with the test kit from the clinic because it needs a really high level to read positive (it seems ridiculous when you are spending thousands on treatment that they give you a crap test kit!). Our clinic is a satellite office of one in Oxford and she said she has told them a few times about the test kit not working!
Anyway, our viability scan is booked for 18th May. I will be bulk-buying Clearblue to make sure the weeks keep going up...
Oh gosh- I was with the Oxford clinic before too and I really didn’t think their test was any good. However I tested a couple days before with a cheap stick which was also negative.
I was bleeding fairly heavily but part of me is wondering if I was actually pregnant and miscarried many weeks later due to my symptoms etc
I wish I had tried clesrblue now just to be sure 😣 however I’m with a sister clinic of theirs now who do seem on the ball but will def have my clear blue ready!
I’m really furious about it! Like you, I am wondering what would have happened in my first round if I’d tried a Clearblue then. I didn’t have any bleeding in the 2ww and stopped taking the pessaries because the test was negative and a couple of days later I had a period.
PS - I also had a negative with a cheap stick test earlier this week, but I suppose we test earlier than we would if we conceived naturally and were waiting for a late period
Oh gosh the same! They didn’t scan me, test my bloods or anything even though I was worried the pessaries weren’t strong enough.
With this clinic I brought it up that could they test me after transfer to be sure and her response was “oh well of course we test you a few days after” So matter of fact as if I was being ridiculous to even bring it up(!)
Regardless I will manage my own health as best as I can and I don’t ever want to be complacent in entrusting them to do their job. I can see how mistakes can happen so often.
Ah good, yes those tests are awful I never rely on them. I do non digital for the first week daily to watch the line get stronger and then digital weekly to watch the no of weeks change. It’s a bit crazy but it stops me going round the bend during the wait to scan day. That’s the thing about the tww, all we want to do is get through it and then it just keeps getting longer.
