So AF arrived y’day for the first time since I had surgical miscarriage m’gmt! 💔 it arrived exactly on time - day 29, but it’s extremely light - more than spotting but way less than my day one would be usually!! Is this normal ladies? I keep seeing people say their first one after miscarriage is really heavy!! 🤔 xx

First of all so sorry for your loss.

It’s great that it arrived on time; sometimes it can disrupt your cycle.

My first period was bang on time arrived bang on time after my miscarriage but was heavy and painful but then I have endometriosis so it’s really hard to say if it was the aftermath of the miscarriage or my endometriosis playing havoc; it loves hormone changes. Also my miscarriage had no medical intervention as there was no pregnancy content was left at the 6 week scan.

I’d say if you were at all worried contact your clinic or GP for advice/reassurance. xoxo

Hi lovely I too had the same as you and I spoke to my nurse who said if you are normally regular it should be on time but very light. This is due to having everything removed do your lining wil shed small and often and then may become heavier. I'm thinking of you . I'm anxious for mine and hope it doesn't arrive on my bday on Monday. Here if you need to talk xxx

Hey Hun, thank u for your reassuring reply - I’m always regular, the last few years AF has got slightly shorter (around 3 days) but never this light!! Hopefully it’s my body just readjusting!! 😕 That’s reassuring to hear your nurse said that!!

How have you been doing? Hope you’re starting to get your strength back!!

Hope you have something nice organised for your b/day!! xxx
