HI all I am new on here and just after some advice/ information anything really after online searches have left me confused and worried.
OH and me have been trying to conceive for 4 years. Been on waiting list for NHS IVF for nearly 2 years and have finally had an appointment at the clinic to meet with the consultant after being referred from hospital consultant.
My first consultant was not very helpful and I feel like I have no idea what to expect or what will be coming. My H has low Sperm count and I am not ovulating but all scans and tests have not shown any abnormalities.
Does any one have any information as to what to expect from here? I know this is going to be a huge journey but feel so unprepared at the moment. Thank you.

Hey, sounds very similar to our situation, we originally were going for icsi but ended up not needing that! We had our first full cycle in Dec! It’s all a bit confusing at first and everyone’s journey is different due to our differences in fertility! But once your consultant has decided which treatment is best for you and your husband I’m sure they will explain everything more clearly! It’s all the technical stuff I didn’t understand lol!! This site is brilliant though because there’s lots of different experiences and people who might be able answer questions you might have!! Hope you and your husband are doing ok ahead of this journey xx
My partner and I felt the same after our first appointment - our consultant is lovely, but not the best at explaining things.
I did endless research and tried to remind myself to take it a step at a time - I'm the type of person who likes to know the ins and outs of everything! I would advise doing as much research as you can, and ask as many questions as you need to at your next appointment.
Every clinic is different, but our next appointment was with the embryologist, and she explained everything much better, and in more detail. The main thing is, relax - it will all come clear, it's so overwhelming at first, but it gets easier. Good luck xx
