New starter!

Hello everyone! This is my first post, we found out on Thursday that we have been offered 1 cycle of ivf after 18months of ttc, I am 34 my husband is 32. I also have a shadow on my uterus which needs a 3D scan which I’m slightly worried about. I’m not sure what to expect from the whole process and we are still getting our heads around it so any information or advice would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum. For IVF there are a few things that matter. Firstly, make sure the clinic you are visiting is operating at a high success rate. The doctors should also be experienced. Apart from that make sure to follow every instruction that the doctor gives. Make sure your diet is very balanced and you are stress-free. It is a pretty successful process so I hope it works for you. Good luck!

Hi and welcome! I have had one cycle of ICSI. Best advice I can give when you start treatment is to just take each step at a time. I felt telling work helped as I then felt easier taking time off. Try keeping an eye on your diet and avoid stress where possible. Continue with normal routine apart from intense exercise when treatment starts. Take folic acid and vitamin d. Well man conception tablets seemed good for my husband. All the best with your treatment xx

Thank you!

Welcome. You will find a lot of support and guidance here. We have all been through different bit very similar journeys and usually there is someone who will have experienced what you ask about. I hope they tell you more about the shadow soon, but don't be afraid to ask them more questions any time. And good luck with your ivf journey xxx

I’m new here and about to start first IVF in Jan / Feb, just wanted to say Hi and wish you all the best - great news that you get funding for one round - nothing at all in my area.

Ah good luck to you too Stacie. Yeah we are lucky we have 1 round grinder, it’s a shame they don’t offer it in your area. Have you had your info session yet? We have our first info session in jan x

Hi! IVF is a very successful treatment. I have also opted for IVF with DE at this clinic abroad. Things are looking quite positive this time. Hopefully, it will work for me now. Good luck to you too.
