I certainly have!! So draining and devastating! I’ve had too many miscarriages and chemical pregnancies too but after a period of feeling v low I bounce back quickly, look at everything i have to feel blessed about and try again. After all that I did have a successful pregnancy. You just have to give yourself time to grieve, be kind to yourself and crack on if you really want it and you will always get there ;) Xxx

Aww bless it’s a tough road to go down but we choose to do it for a reason!!!

How many transfers have you had??? Hope you don’t mind me asking xxx

You can ask me anything! I feel like a fertility expert with the amount of procedures and consultants I’ve seen lol. I’m currently on my 7th transfer, all have been fet’s and out of these 4 have been bfp/positive and all but the last one have been PGD tested xxx

I’m sorry to hear this. But you are right to look forward to the next opportunity xx

I am so sorry to learn of this. I feel really disappointed for you. Please don't give up. Sending you a hug. Take care. Do something that cheers you up this afternoon/evening.xo

Oh my love I’m so truly sorry to hear that; i suffered an early miscarriage and I know how devastating it is; my heart goes out to you. My fertility specialist said to me recently “ through the dark cloud the silver lining is you did conceive and this is positive “ I thought it was beautiful and summed something inspiring ; yes we did lose a baby but we conceived ;which we had never done in 6 years of ttc and I chose to see it as it has” shown” my body how to get pregnant and that is good thing 😊 Thinking if you and sending lots of positive thoughts to you xoxo

Sorry you went trough the same too, i keep saying it’s a big rollercoaster ride!!!! Thank you!! I’m thinking a bit the same!! I’ve never seen a positive on a test since I had my son 14 years ago, so I’m thinking of it as a big positive!! Maybe our time is next time! Fingers toes and everything crossed!!!!

Did they scan you after your miscarriage??? They had already booked me a scan after my positive but I’m guessing I won’t attend that now xxxx

in reply to Lisaworthy1981

Thank you. Certainly is! 🙄

Yeah they did my love; I had to wait till till I would’ve been 6 weeks; they can usually detect a heart beat by then. They have to rule out ectopic pregnancy and be sure all the content has gone; with such an early pregnancy loss probably has it is procedure 😊 I had to see a gynae after the scan ( despite no pregnancy content left 🤷🏼‍♀️)and they did a pregnancy test and asked random questions and had my blood pressure and temperature checked and I was told I could try after the next period. It was pretty emotional even the gynae dr was fighting back tears😭 I didn’t have HCG checked; all they did was refer me to EPU after my bleeding.

For sure it is progress; if I didn’t see it like that I would be a really dark place and I refuse to be beaten 💪🏻

I have a 19 year old son; everyone like friends n family assumed that it had to be my hubby who had the issue; actually the issue lies with me; I have endometriosis. it’s funny you have one child and just assume it’ll happen again and then it doesn’t sure I was a bit older but still...😳 I’ve been referred to an endometriosis specialist by my fertility specialist after two laparoscopys which I had within 8 months apart treated endo in pod bit both times left it in my bowel. This journey certainly isn’t for the faint hearted..

I’ve no doubt we will be blessed ❤️❤️❤️ We were just unlucky and I’m sure next time we won’t be 😘

Ask the your GO if you need to go.

Again I’m sorry you are having to go through this.

Lisaworthy1981 profile image
Lisaworthy1981 in reply to

Ah ok so the scan I have is for when I would be 6 weeks roughly so I guess I’ll still go!!!! That could be an emotional day!!!

It’s a strange one isn’t it, I thought after having one child it would be easy to have another one!!! But actually now it’s my partner that has the small problem!! He has the swimmers there just a little slow 🙈 so we needed the help!!!

I think deep down he’s blaming himself but I tell him not too!!! Think it’s just as hard for him as it is for me!!!

We’re gonna go out tonight for a nice meal as my mum has offered for my son to stay there tonight to give us some time together!!!! Might even have a cheeky gin 🙈!!

Wishing you lots of luck on the rest of your journey!!!! We’ll all get there one day xxx

in reply to Lisaworthy1981

He mustn’t blame himself. I felt a bit guilty when I knew it was “my fault “ but hubby said “no we are in this thing together. “ I think I was mostly relieved to know why it wasn’t happening for us ; we had all the standard tests so everything looked “ normal “ it wasn’t till I had a laparoscopy last June that I learnt I had endometriosis. It took 5 years 10 months off ttc to find it 🙄 I think it’s harder not knowing the cause of the infertility.

Trying for a baby can put such a pressure on you.; it shouldn’t be like that but that’s how it is in this situation 😒 definitely spending time together can really help ; we went away a few months ago and it was great to be away from the world of trying 🤫

I’d treat yourself; you deserve a few drinks 😉

Hold each other and look after each other ;you will get through this together ❤️❤️❤️ xoxo

Oh my gosh how have to kept sane going through all those!! This one was bad enough, you get over one hurdle and hit another!!!! But like you we’ll carry on till we’ve used all our tries!!

We had a positive on Wednesday but started bleeding Tuesday so that’s why they requested bloods!!! Guessing I had an early loss 😢!!

Have you any more embryos to use xxx

in reply to Lisaworthy1981

Hey miss

All of our cycles have been been fresh round after fresh round and private as we never was allowed nhs due to hubby have a daughter from previous relationships. When it comes to this journey you are not allowed to have a past history 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

We don’t have any frozen but may decide to go just one more time as my mum said she will pay.

Dunno though am 43 now but a hardcore ivf warrior.

Sorry for your loss I was following just silently in the background.

Give yourself a break enjoy you and hubby for a while before you get back on the game of ivf.

Wish U all the best x

Every area must be so different, we wouldn’t be accepted in one place due to me having a son but then another hospital would fund us!!

How annoying for you!!!

Sending lots of luck with whatever you decide to do!! We’re made of strong stuff ☺️!!

I’m very sorry to hear this Lisaworthy1981 😔 My last 2 IVF ended in chemical pregnancy and I was devasted, so my heart goes out to you, it really does. But I then fell pregnant naturally, the very next time I ovulated. I don’t know if that was just some crazy luck, or that the cervix is slightly more open after a MC, making conception easier. Either way I think it kick started something for me within my body & I hope it does the same for you!

The other thing which helped me a lot while I was sad, was knowing that in the vast majority of cases the pregnancy ends because something wasn’t quite right with the embryo - it’s our body’s very finely honed mini-human filtration system! So when the perfect one arrives, I’m sure it’ll nestle in and make a home for 9 months. This time just wasn’t meant to be, but there is every reason to think that next time it will be your time! Sending you the biggest hugs & all my sympathies xxx
