Estrogen patches - will they stop the bleed?

For the last few years I’ve had the lightest periods, I literally only use liners as it’s more like spotting & it only lasts a couple of days.

After taking the pill for 3 weeks & having the depo (downreg) injection & scratch on Monday last week af arrived on Saturday & it’s been full on. I’m still bleeding fairly heavily now & also feeling sick (think that’s the depo injection as I had that last time).

Does anyone know if the estrogen patches will stop the bleed? I’m due to start them tomorrow. Xx

My clinic are just interested in me starting my period before I can start meds. I can still be bleeding when I start to take meds and they are fine with it.

You could just check in with the clinic about it.

Good luck

xx

Sounds like I probably don’t need to worry too much but will keep an eye on it for a few days!! Thank you xx

Hi. Yes, you should see that the bleeding will gradually stop with the patches (in my case it stopped after 4-5 days). Good luck!! xx
