It was the Ovitrelle shot for egg collection on Wednesday.
I’m just concerned that it may not have gone well!
When I took the cap off the needle I saw the liquid shoot down in the capsule, so I quickly stabbed it in to my tummy, panicking that it was coming out!
It all happened so fast but I remember thinking that it didn’t look like I actually injected that much in! It’s 250mcg which I needed to inject.
Was it the air pressure which made it move and will I have injected it all?? Does it seem like only a small amount goes in??
Such an important injection, I’m just worrying I’ve messed it up, I wanted to enjoy my last injection but instead it was just a frantic rush! ☹️
Hope you are all doing well xx

Thank you for your response, the more I think about it the more I think it did all go in as it has nowhere else to go! It just didn’t look like a lot that went in......
It is not that much liquid inside of an injection. If you dial it until appeared 250 on the screen than should be a problem in my opinion. Don’t stress too much, keep your mind away from this as you did nothing wrong. Good luck ❤️🤗
Aw thank you so much, I didn’t have the pen when I opened the box- which also threw me as the clinic said I would have the pen! 🥴
Instead it was a pre loaded injection with air in it also, I think I took the cap off, the pressure released the air which made it look like the liquid was coming down the tube so I just rammed it in my tummy! 😂
Thank you for taking the time to respond, I had a headache this morning which is a common symptom of it so I’m assuming all is well! 😊 xx
I used a pre-filled pen 2 times and 2 times a pre-filled syringe just like you now. When I released the air from syringe I had the impression that there are not anymore 0.6ml but I had no other choice just to inject. All went well in the end. If you feel twinges in your ovaries than you shouldn’t worry. Take care ❤️
Hi Luamber, I also did my ovitrelle last night (Monday) at 10pm with EC on Wednesday, same as you. My partner injected mine but we did notice that some liquid came out when he took the cap off as well as an air bubble as the last of the injection went in. We assumed/suspect this is because it was a pre-filled syringe. Hopefully the fact that we’ve gone through similar and you’re not alone puts your mind at ease. I’m sure we’ll both be fine come tomorrow. Would love to hear how you get on. Keeping everything crossed x
My partner did think that for the size of the syringe there was a small amount of liquid inside. So I think there’s nothing to worry about.
Today I’ve had just the same few twinges in the ovaries like I have had for the last 13 days. And yes, my nipples are suddenly very sore today! Lol. Had a few food aversions as well oddly enough. Also feel like I have slight period pains but I guess that’s the ovaries still growing and putting pressure on the womb. Who knows!
This is my second cycle, did my first proper cycle in June as had a cancelled cycle in February. How about you?
Hope tomorrow goes well for you, please don’t worry about the sedation, it’s like having a cat nap. I’ll follow you now too x
Strangely enough- I too have had foot aversion! Haven’t been able to eat potatoes for the past week! 😂
Really had the need for chocolate and sweet things!
I haven’t had much discomfort at all today, just the nipples!
I’ve been extremely bloated and uncomfortable over the past week or so, I thought my ovaries were producing lots of follicles going by the discomfort but I had to stay on my Menopur for a further week on a higher dose to grow more! Luckily that has now worked to produce more but I don’t have loads in there..... it only takes one though! 😉
This is our first cycle, it’s very emotional and lengthy isn’t it, the no knowing is the worst part for me, just got to take each stage as you get to it!
All the very best for tomorrow, shall catch up with you again on the other side! x
Omg the need for sugar is unreal 😂 desperate for chocolate and ice cream.
You are literally telling my story, I’m slow to respond too. I was on menopyr last time and now a mix of menopyr and Gonal f with a small dose of buserelin. Last time I was so bloated too but I’m told the buserelin alleviates it.
It’s harder than I thought this journey, that’s for sure. Im trying to take each day as it comes and enjoy life at the same time, as IVF really does put your plans on hold. Some girls on here suggest to have nice things planned for something to look forward to.
