Menopur Side effects

Last night I took my 2nd menopur injection and I've noticed by stomach had become really bloated and I'm getting stomach cramps is this normal so early on? This is our first round of IVF feel like we're venturing into the unknown!

Hi, this happened to me and I was told it was because my eggs were growing and the whole process caused a lot of bloating. It has taken months to feel back to normal. Just keep an eye as you can get OHSS which is over stimulation, if you are concerned call you clinic. And make sure you drink lots of water, its hard when you feel bloated but so important as it helps keep OHSS at bay. Good luck xxx

I'll be starting my first round with menopur soon too. I've heard that they are normal side effects. Are you on metformin tablets too? Will you be scanned regularly to check you're not over stimulating? Good luck x

No I'm not on metformin I'm still injecting Suprecur though x

oh yes, I was so bloated that I couldn't fit into my clothes and now weeks later am still only in leggings and loose tops. I found my stomach quite tender to touch too. The clinic said to keep drinking plenty and they did blood tests for ohss but all was fine. X

I'm exactly the same bloated, cramps & tired. Like the others have said drink plenty that will ease cramps & take paracetamol if you need to. Good luck x
