Has anybody got any tips on how to cope with the 2 week wait from embryo transfer to pregnancy test? I’m not the most patient individual at the best of times!
I thought that maybe booking in nice things like a hair cut (done!) and maybe a pedicure and massage might help as then I’ll have little milestones to look forward to.
Any advice greatly appreciated xxxx

i had planned all of the above too, but on dr googling, put myself off all of them!
i had a massage a few days before ET and therapist told me they consider women in 2ww in the same way as pregnant women in first 12 weeks of pregnancy, so pretty sure a massage is out.
i talked myself out of pedicure because i wasn’t sure about the chemicals in polish.
i’m sure a hair cut is fine!
i downloaded stuff to make me laugh - family guy, new girl, sex & the city. i’ve also been doing loads of mindfulness & guided mediations to try to stay relaxed.
I hear you on needing a distraction - I’m really suffering with anxiety this time round. I usually test early but this time I wanted to give it time, however that’s just added more pressure somehow! Best of luck with your 2WW xxx
I haven't got the best advice when it comes to testing as I'm probably the worst, this is my 4th ivf cycle and I've tested early with them all. I'm 3dp5dt and during the day I'm keeping myself occupied with tv series and at night I sit with my son. I'll start testing on Saturday 7dp5dt I've got 6 tests waiting. The worst thing you can do is Google it will drive you crazy looking for anything you can find that will match what you feel, everyone is different and this time I've stuck to this forum only. Sending loads of luck your way xx
Have lots of movies or a box set in hand. I would suggest try to keep to your normal routine if possible. Be sure to get some fresh air and when you’re feeling really impatient talk to your other half and/or you have all of us! Best of luck and hang in there xx
I’m pretty bad with testing early like chelle84. I kept my routine as normal as possible as find that keeping busy makes time go fast! I did however use the cheap internet tests and started testing daily with these . In a way it helped me as there was no big shock on otd and I felt that if I was in work and saw AF I wouldn’t be as shocked! X
Ooh it's a pain isn't it, this whole process just feels like a load of waiting...
I had a massage before collection. I waited for a hair colour until after the two week wait. I was advised against a pedicure because of pressure points in your feet.
I watched A LOT of Netflix and baked to keep my mind occupied.
