We have just had our first round of ICSI which has ended so disappointingly. All responses to meds were great (buserelin and gonal f) all labs normal nothing out of the ordinary. Trigger shot - ovitrelle. Egg collection - we got 15 eggs and all medical staff were thrilled. We had opted for ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) and we got a call on the day of egg collection to say none survives. All degenerated. We had a meeting yesterday and they have no idea why. No answers and I feel robbed as we didn't really get a shot at our cycle as they didn't even try to fertilise the eggs.
They said they have never seen this before.
Has anyone else experienced this or have advice?
Thank you!

Oh I’m so sorry to here this. I can’t offer any advise with your situation. However I had failed fertilisation on our first icsi cycle, which broke my heart. What I did find was they then adapted my medication for our second cycle and with this cycle we had fertilisation. I’m thinking of you and hope that at your next consultation you get some more answers xx
I had a similar experience with normal Ivf , only 3 eggs collected but none of them fertilised , apparently the eggs weren’t mature , so had no chance of fertilising. I know your pain , especially after all the drugs you have taken , to have nothing to put back in at the end is devastating.
The next round they changed the med dosage , kept a very good eye on me and did Icsi instead. I got 5 eggs , all were mature , 3 fertilised, two were put back on day 3 and I was blessed with my daughter.
