Egg collection after 1st failed ICSI

Feeling absolutely terrified for egg collection tomorrow after our failed ICSI in feb where we had no fertilisation from 7 eggs. Had my scan on sun and there where 17 follicles (10 at the right size and others almost there. 🤞🤞🙏🙏 we have some fertilisation this time 🥴

Hello, I’ve got my first egg collection on Friday and I’m scared too. It must be so awful to get past egg collection and not get to transfer. It has been one of my biggest fears! Sounds like you’ve got a great number of follicles at the right size though! More than me although I get scanned again tomorrow 🤞🏼. Wishing you all the luck in the world! 🍀🍀🍀

I think watched too much YouTube prior to the procedure and had such high expectations of double figures. Also my scans every other day showed 15 good sized follies.

I actually bursted into tears when I came around and was told only 7 collected.

However 6 fertilised and 5 made it to good quality blasts. Ended up being so pleased with the results.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you both that you get what you need to have a successful cycle this time x

Awh that’s great news x mine where just crap quality last time even with 7 so I’m hoping the change in drugs/all the supplements have helped 🥴

Yep 6dpt and it’s going so slowly.... today has been the worst of all😩I had spotting/bleeding which was minimal at first... but now I’m unsure if its my AF💔

They managed to get 12 eggs which at 40 with AMH of 6 I am happy with, just hoping they are good quality. The bad news is our cycle has been cancelled due to lining issues and got to get referred to Gynaecology again so pretty gutted. Just praying they fertilised and we have something to freeze. X

I’m sure they will be 🤞🤞 just had a call from the embryologist and all of them where mature so they’ve all been injected. Even I get one to fertilise I’ll be happy xxx

Wishing you all the best for egg collection! It is so nerve racking starting again after a disasterous cycle - we got past egg collection, fertilisation to have nothing to transfer in cycle 1.....didnt even know that could happen and was devastated. However what I will say is that my cycle afterwards went much better so things can be different. Good luck.xx

They managed to get 9 eggs, they said there was a possibility of no fertilisation again but the embryologist said she would ring me this afternoon to tell me how many eggs are mature enough to proceed with ICSI as most of mine last time where immature. I can’t help but think the worse x

I’m sure you’ll get some great numbers 🤞🏻 we still have 11, 7 are grade 1 which at our clinic is the highest, then the others are lower but still progressing. Find out another update in the morning as I have a provisional transfer day 3 tomorrow but hoping to push for day 5 instead 💕 hope the call is the news you want in the morning x

5 out of my 6 embryos are developing well so I’m booked in for a 5 day transfer on mon 🤞🤞🤞

They literally called as I finished typing. They called yesterday to say we unfortunately lost one but the other 5 looked good, today all looks good, we have 2 grade 1 and 3 grade 2 and the quality looks good. Hoping all are good enough to freeze Monday. Transfer on Monday... how exciting, get plenty of rest and sending you lots of positive baby vibes x

Absolutely feel for you. We had zero fertilisation on our first round of ISCI. I was petrified waiting for the phone call on the second round. Looks like things are better for you this round already. I will be thinking of you and sending positive vibes. xxx

Thank you. Xx Yes we got 9 eggs , all mature, 6 fertilised and 3 made it to blasts so I had one transferred yesterday and 2 in freezer. Currently in 2 week wait 🤞🤞🤞🙈🙈

Yes they basically doubled my menopar and gave me 2 gonasi and buserelin as triggers to help mature my eggs. I also took DHEA, PQQ, ubiquinol, N-acetyl cysteine and myo-inositol (I’m not saying they made the difference but something did the trick to even get to fertilisation after last time) just hoping it wants to stay in there 🤞🤞🙏🙏 xx

Something definitely worked! I was gutted when we didn’t get any to freeze, it seemed like everyone did. I gave myself a good talking to and realised how grateful we should be that we even got one to blastocyst. let’s just hope this one sticks! I’m feeling crampy and boobs are so sore but I know that’s from the pessaries. I’m trying not to symptom spot and it’s been okay this early on but I know as the days go on I will go slowly crazy!
