Anyone have an endo scratch in Kent or London and how much did you pay?

I'm thinking of having the scratch done before I have my first frozen embryo transfer - I'm on my second round. I've had 2 fresh transfers fail so far. As it's my second and final NHS funded round, my clinic said I can't pay privately to have it done through them, but that I could have it done by one of the clinic consultants at a hospital. Not sure how much he charges but the clinic charge £240. My clinic is in Tunbridge wells in Kent but I'm in Canterbury.

I'm on my second round at tunbridge too, have had 2 fresh transfers fail so far, 2 in the freezer. Sorry your 2 rounds there didn't work. Is that why you moved clinic? Or is guys nearer now you're private? That endo scratch sounds cheap! I wonder if I would need to pay a consultation fee on top as I'm not a clinic patient.... lots of research to do! Thanks for your message and good luck with your ivf journey at guys xxx

Hi Scarlett13 I've only just seen your post and although I've not had an endo scratch, I would be interested to know how you are finding Tunbridge wells? I've picked them from the choices form. Hope all is going well for you xx

I'm with CARE. Wish it was nearer as I'm in Canterbury but I use their sittingbourne satellite clinic for my scans. I've found them to be really good and lovely so far, getting good results from egg collection too, just no sticky embryo yet. X good luck on your journey! How many rounds do you get now in Kent on the NHS??

That's good to know thank you x I'm not far from Canterbury so the travel to Tunbridge Wells will be just as long for me. I've not quaified yet as my fsh is currently too high so they want to re test it but prior to that my AMH was too low and its a saga that's been going on over 2 years just to get though this first stage. In between all of that though I got fed up with wasting time (and my "clock ticking away") and self funded a private round in London which went well but no pregnancy. Its still 2 currently and I requested a foi from the Canterbury cgg re a consultation my consultant told me about to change it to 1 but the ccg have said it's not going ahead at the mo xx

Sorry for the late reply. We chose Guys purely for the fact to try something different. TW used to take me an hour to get too and Guys seems to take me the same travel time. The cost to go privately pretty much works out the same also. Think the scratch is more expensive at TW not by much though. The original consultation fee at Guys is £250. I paid for ICSI which is £5200.

Good Luck with your journey too xx

One of the consultants apparently will do the scratch privately at Nuffield or spires hospital in Tunbridge wells but I'm not sure how much yet? I'm liking the clinic. Have had good results even though no embryo has stuck yet. The staff are lovely and helpful. How are you finding it? Good luck! I'm in Canterbury so it's quite far for me! This will be my first FET, what about yourself? X

That’s good to know.. I’ve only had one failed fresh transfer so far, waiting for my period to start to get on with a FET and was going to enquire with them as to whether we could pay for extras if the FET didn’t stick..

I found the staff really nice too, we got a nice feel from them throughout the whole process! We live in whitstable so I totally understand the long drive!!

I’ve heard that a FET is a lot easier than the fresh cycles which is nice to hear... When are you likely to start your FET? Xx
