I am intending to do the karytype test for myself and OH. But my own clinic charges £450, while after a 5 minute online search i found another clinic which only charges £300.
Im abit confused... is the actual test the same and all the aspects that are assessed? Or does the cheaper test omit some aspects of the test?
Has anyone had karyotype before? How much did it cost and is there anything i should check before doing this at a clinic?
Many thanks in advance.

The actual test should be the same, clinics probably just collect the blood and then send it out to the lab that does the test. I had it done twice, once in Europe (it cost around 350 euros or so) and once in the USA - here it was over $ 1,000 but my insurance covered it fully. You should be able to get that test done independently via private lab, don't need to use a specific clinic, so it should be ok to shop around for pricing.
