Hi, does anyone have any experience of taking Inofolic? I have polycystic ovaries and our clinic have suggested I take it to try and regulate my irregular periods. Once my Fallopian tubes have been checked I’ll also be starting to take Clomid. Thanks in advance for any replies 😃

Hi Star15. Well if your clinic has recommended it, then give it a go. It's definitely got the recommended amount of Folic Acid in, and the other ingredient is supposed to help mop up any excess insulin in your cells, so that can only be good as the message to ovulate will get through from the pituitary gland in the brain, a little easier. Good luck with it all, including the HSG. Diane

Hello, thanks for the reply 😃 Hadn’t really realised how it worked, can’t they do clever things?! One of the reasons for me asking was because it states it’s for PCOS and I don’t actually have the syndrome, just polycystic ovaries... but they aren’t sure that I ovulate each cycle and my periods are irregular so hopefully it can only be good! Thanks again 😃

Hi. It's used for polycystic ovaries too, without the syndrome. Diane xx.

I have been taking this for 6 months now it did regulate my periods , the NHS told me about it and when I went to private clinic it was the 1st thing they recommended I take so was pleased when I told him I was already on it ! The way I seen it was it’s better to give it a bash let’s be honest we will try anything lol £81 I’m sure it is for 3 months off the official website x

Hi, thanks so much for replying. Nice that you were ahead of the game and had already started on it when the private clinic recommended it! Good to hear it regulated your periods - mine are really irregular so hoping it will help. Saw that you’re in a similar situation to us in so far as you already have a child, hope that the IVF goes well for you x

The ‘secondary infertility’ thing is really hard, isn’t it? I had been told I had cysts on my ovaries before I got pregnant with our son but hadn’t really thought it was an issue as we went on to get pregnant without any help but as it turns out that must’ve been a bit of a miracle as they’re not even sure I’m ovulating every cycle and my periods are really irregular. Anyway, feels good to have talked to the people at the clinic and have a plan in place, I’m just not very good at being patient and this whole thing needs a lot of patience...! Hope the EC happens soon and that it all goes well for you x

It’s defiantly not easy , I wasn’t ovulating either and they said it shows in my AMH levels as they are high for my age!!

It is a relief when u eventually get a plan in place makes it feel more real .

Thank you I’m sure we will hear ur updates soon also x

I’ve been taking it twice a day now for 4 months, I’ve always had regular periods but didn’t ovulate. I had a cycle tracked in January and I did ovulate, don’t know if it’s down to that but I think it’s definitely worth taking x

Thanks for your reply 😃 Good to hear that you did ovulate, as you say, the Inofolic has to be worth trying. I took first lot earlier and was relieved that it doesn’t taste awful at least! Sorry to see the issues you had with your hysteroscopy, did you get another date? X

I know that’s what I thought to about the awful taste but it’s not to bad lol thank you, I had it yesterday - was a little painful but they’ve taken a biopsy so hopefully get some sort of answers x
