Merional drug any info

My IVF dr added Merional drug to my protocol

I didn't had issues last cycle I had good numbers

When I asked him he told me to increase my egg stimulation

Am not sure why ivf dr need to increase the stimulation when the previous cycle went smoothly

So what this drug actually do ??

Hi ladyMM I have been given this drug this time we due to start soon. This is my 4th cycle and 3rd change of drugs, my consultant wanted to try me on these to see if they would help with my quality of eggs. I am now on a lower dose of drugs also. Her attitude was for me to try and have quality over quantity on this cycle. I have a good response in the quantity of eggs produced but not in quality. I am hoping this will change this time. I think I used merional as my stim injection on my cycle. It was my first cycle and I have polycystic ovaries so was more at risk of overresponding so was on the short protocol. It was my first fresh cycle so not sure whether the clinic use merional as standard or whether I was put on it for a specific reason. But I do know clinics seem to like to change things a bit after a failed cycle to see if they can get them to go a bit better. If you’re concerned then ask your consultant and hopefully you’ll get an answer that makes more sense. I hope the cycle goes well!
