Hi, I’m on my first cycle. I’ve just finished stims tonight. I didn’t really get any side effects or pains until day 8. I was also worried at the time. Now I’ve got the pains and which I didn’t! From others on this site everyone’s different so don’t worry if you don’t get any. My clinic told me not to rely on the side effects. Good luck x

I didn’t really get any until the last day or two and then it was just being really bloated and feeling really uncomfortable with that. Try not to worry xx

Hi Leo. To be honest I didn't feel any different either. Apart from being totally stressed and overwhelmed at preparing the meds (my husband swiftly took over that job after I broke down on day 2!), I didn't feel at all different. It's emotionally quite an intense process but for me I felt physically fine, no bloating or tenderness - again I had a very gentle injector in my husband!

Hi. I wouldn’t worry about it and just be relieved. The side effects can be pretty grim if you get them. You’ve probably heard more about getting them because people feel so rotten with it they post about it. If you’re not getting them you’re less likely to post about them. It’s a rollercoaster ride so just take each bend and loop as it comes and enjoy the straight runs when they arrive as sometimes it feels there are only bends and loops. x

You're a day ahead of me! I did injection #3 last night.

I'm not feeling much either - maybe some mild twinges and bloating, but think it might be my imagination! 😉

Do you know when your EC would be? I suspect mine will be Wednesday. Scan tomorrow so looking forward to seeing what’s cooking inside! Best of luck

If I've responded it's likely to be Thursday. I have a scan on Tuesday so should know for certain then. My clinic don't do scans in the interim so I'm left guessing! X

Ah. Which clinic are you with? I am at Zita West. I had a baseline scan, and then a scan on day 5 of stimulation and one scan tomorrow - day 8 of stimulation and one planned for Monday day 11 of stimulation. I will keep my fingers crossed for you on Tuesday xx

No, not at all! I dont think I started feeling any different until a bit further in and even then it wasnt much! Wishing you luck!xx

I don’t remember feeling much until near the end of the first cycle of meds and that was just hot flushes, about twice a day for a few days, as soon as I started the stims this went away again!! All the best for your cycle x x

Oh excited for you. Is it appointment or actual start date for you. I am 6 days into the stimulation phase. So scan tomorrow to see how the follicles are doing... they could decide tomorrow when EC will be. I am ok. Drugs are a bit of a pain. It’s ok to actually do it but planning around it has been challenging with work and lifestyle. I have had no side effects - Dexamethasone made me a little quesy but nothing major. The stimulation drugs were just fine although I bruised my tummy a bit with the jabs and it’s swollen a little. No other pain. It’s nice to be on here to have people to chat too!

Hiya hope you are gettin on fine. We start tonight first jabs 😁 Pretty sure my husband will be loving the idea of stabbing me with a needle 🤣 It's all a bit surreal to be honest.

My jabs are at 8pm which isn't too bad just means the hubby gets out of taking me out for supper 😂 They have put me on a stronger dose said something about putting me on a level you would get half way through a cycle inorder to get as many eggs as possible. We're just going with the flow. I suppose you just have to trust that they know best.

How exciting for you! I do mine at 8pm too... are you taking bucerlian, ferimon and merinol? Remember to pinch before you insert the needle. I am so bruised on my tummy. I had a scan today looks like I have 13 follicles - all between 7mm-14mm however they found a polop..not sure what that means... I might have to do collection on Wednesday and then arrange to have an operation to remove it and then do a frozen embryo transfer.. not sure of timeliness so I feel like this is going to be never ending! I am at Zita West clinic in London- you? Are you excited? Look after yourself . This is the nice part - you do your bits and you trust the doctors to their theirs...

13 follicles that's fantastic 👍 I'm not entirely sure what a polop is, might have to google that one. How are u feeling about the wee op? It does push things back a bit but your in great hands. Are you still working and travelling back to the clinic?

I've not got any of those medications I've to take 2 injections at night managed fine tonight I was soo proud of my husband... I just didn't look lol . I'm on luveris, Gonal (2jabs tonight) and organutan (A jab next week) that's all so far. I'm originally from aberdeenshire but we are in Murcia Spain for treatment. (Maybe I've got the same meds but there in Spanish 🤣 Xxx back to the clinic on Monday morning for blood tests. Fingers crossed for u xxx

Hmmmm, I don’t remember getting any side effects whatsoever during stimming (fresh cycle), except for maybe some bloating and a few abdominal pains shortly before egg collection (caused by the functional cysts which had popped up because of all the extra hormones). Other than that I was pretty much symptom free. I think the severity of symptoms will vary depending on your dosage - I was given 2 x Merional to 1 x water, so I think a stronger dose would have stronger side effects. So nothing for you to worry about in my view & I’m sure the drugs are doing their job 😊 Hope all is going well with the stimming & it’s not too uncomfortable for you xx
