Seems like an odd thing to post when I'm meant to be trying to conceive and I've read a lot on people taking the pill before ivf to down regulate their cycle before treatment starts but I'm considering going on the pill until I know what I want to do next.
We have a plan, and I'm happy with it, I think it's the best course of action, we're seeing a nutritionist next week, going to keep trying on our own for another 6 months, considering iui before considering IVF again, but at the moment I need time to heal and right now I'd like that time without the disappointment of getting my period every month, I just need time to heal emotionally and learn to not get so stressed over ttc, might take a while though!
Has anyone else done this or considered it?

Have you been on pills before? I do understand that the AF seems to have demotivated you all the while over the futile TTC's but then I wouldn't suggest going on pills for the wait time. Primarily because things won't switch back to normal right away when you come off pills.. that could be another 3-6 months wait. Plus, there's whole lot of medication you'll be put on once the monitored TTC starts so best to cleanse your body for it rather than pilling up more pills. Also, if you want to keep trying naturally till you've made your mind not going on the pill will be a better choice. The pill before IVF is meant to regulate your cycle manually... to avoid time loss and stick to the clinic's own schedule. However, for anyone whose cycle seems somewhat in sync or based on some clinical aspects they are allowed a natural cycle.
I can only suggest, the choice is yours and yours alone at the end of the day! Wish you luck
