The pill?!?

Hi I’m new to this but looking for some advice. I’m in bed absolutely shattered but as per usual my mind has gone into overdrive. Start injections this Thursday, I was under the impression I would be starting day 1 of my cycle however I was put back on the pill on day 1 which was the 4th told to stop taking it 17th and start injections 22nd. I’m totally lost as to where I am in my cycle. My nipples are killing, my skin is horrible and I’ve lost my appetite all of which usually happens at different times of the month. Does anybody have any advice as to why I was in the pill 13 days off for 5 then start injecting. I should have asked but had that much to take in it slipped my mind. X

It’s called Levest. I came on my period yesterday but not due to start injections until tomorrow so I’m a bit confused as thought injections needed to be started on day 1. X

Just looked at my letter from before and it said to call them on day 1 of my period (day 1 was when it started before midday), then go for scan on day 2 and they told me then that I could start injections that day. So that seems to add up with what you have said? X

I rang up yesterday to see if I needed to start them early but she told me they only start injections on Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays. My first scan is not until next Friday. X

I'm wondering whether yours is different to mine because of the different protocols they have. Mine was the antagonist protocol! Do you know what yours is? X

I can’t rememebr exactly how it went for me but I was put on microgynon for 3 weeks, this was to induce a bleed, I started injections I think it was day 1 or 2 of cycle.

What pill were you put on?

Clinic seem to have different ways in which they do treatment but usually the pill is to induce a bleed which might be why your getting the period type symptoms?

They’re basically controlling your cycle, allowing them to time when you start injections and things. Hope that helps xxx

I was put on the pill for a few days so my clinic could have control over when EC was likely to be. We used the embryoscope for our cycle and they only have a certain no of spaces so I had to go on the pill for a week so that it was free after EC. Good luck!
