Went into clinic this morning for my embryo transfer and feel kind of deflated as it wasn't the best news, or thats how I have taken it, anyhow.
Of our three embryos (I only got 5 eggs, 3 of which fertilised) one hadn't made the grade today and was being disguarded. Another was only at early blastocyst stage so couldn't be graded and the third was a 3bb.. ..which I don't think is the best. Is it?
Following a brief discussion with consultant and nurse we had both implanted and although I'm trying to be positive, I feel beaten already, because of today's news. I know everyone is different but is is a perfectly normal situation?

I've messaged you privately but just wanted to say keep your chin up - things are far from over - you have 2 embryos inside you and they need your hope xxx
Ivf is a tough journey and it takes it's toll on people and I can quite understand why you feel deflated. However a 3bb is quite good.
Many ladies here have had 4,8, ... cells embryo transferred and still had positives. Although it is very easy to feel bad that your embryo isn't the best grade but guess what even some best graded embryo don't give you a bfp. Personally all I can say is leave it to God and trust Him to give you your heart desire. That's faith in God.
Others will say leave it to luck, depending on which ever one you believe in. But do yourself some good by thinking very positively that all will work well for your good.
I wish you the best and pray you get a bfp and a healthy pregnancy.
I know it's difficult but try not to be too downhearted...there are plenty of ladies who have embryos transferred of far poorer quality than that that result in bfps...and equally embryos of top quality that result in bfns - you just never know, try to focus your energy on being positive & encouraging your little embababy to snuggle in xx
On my last fresh round I got 5 embryos - we had the best (5aa) transferred and that cycle failed. We had a FET with another high graded and that also failed. When we went for our last FET we had three embryos, one didn’t make thaw and the last two were lower graded and transferred (One of them was a 3bb) one of those lower graded embryos worked and has now resulted in my 11 month old little girl.
You have to have hope...they can only monitor the embryos to a certain stage, no one knows how they will develop once they are transferred. Keep positive and stay strong. Wishing you lots of luck xxxx
Wow this site is worth its weight in gold......although I am crying at your post, it brings happy tears and lots of hope. Thank you for taking time to respond and early birthday wishes to your little girl xx
