1 is average, 9 are very good. I can't believe it. I was expecting the call between 9 and 10 and the embryologist called just after 10, I was so nervous!!!! Really pleased with the news, can't believe how well they're doing so far. At this stage on my first round I had 7 embryos, I think a few were good but not great and a few were average and poor, so doing much better this round so far. Having a day 5 transfer at 1130 on Saturday and seriously hoping to have some to freeze this time. Had 4 discarded on day 6 last time as they weren't strong enough to freeze. Same drugs this round - only difference is that I've been on micronised DHEA 3x a day since November and been taking ubiquinol x
3 days post egg collection, all 10 em... - Fertility Network UK
3 days post egg collection, all 10 embryos are still in the game!
Such fab news Scarlett13! I hope you get a great result on day 5. Wishing you lots of luck xx
Thanks Jojo x
Well done you Keep on updating us with fab news Scarlett x
Great news Scarlett!! Well done!xx
Awww Scarlett we are at exactly the same point in the process. I'm in at 10am on Saturday for transfer. I'll keep everything crossed for you, apart from when I am in, lol.. if I don't laugh about it I'll cry. Good luck xx
Oh wow good luck! You'll be done and dusted before I have to uncross my legs 😂 what round are you in and how are your embryos doing? X
First ever round hun. Went into it all quite naive despite knowing for a number of years ivf was only option. Feel ive learnt so much over last few weeks and changed so much to. I didnt have many follicles. Only 4. But I got 5 eggs. 3 fertilised and heard today on day 3 that all 3 are of good quality..2 at grade 1 and 1 at grade 2 and all at a 8. Hopefully that makes sense.
So glad to have come across this site, as really been struggling with it all and i feel weight been lifted just reading people's journeys.
Keep in touch and let me know all goes ok xx
It was only my first round in October! This forum has been amazing for me too. 3 good embryos out of 5 eggs is great - my consultant said to me on Monday that as long as he can get out three eggs, that's good enough with today's technology. So don't worry about low numbers. It's better to have low numbers of good quality than high numbers of lower quality - it only takes one! Let's keep each other updated x
Are you having a day 3 or 5 transfer? Is it nhs funded? Are you in England? This is my second of 2 NHS rounds and I'm in Kent. I'm in Kent and I'm 37 x
5 day transfer. We went private. Long story short referred 9 years ago when aged 26 through nhs. We had literally gone to see what was wrong etc as I knew something was not right. At that time process was very rushed. We felt like a statistic to the clinic and stopped it. Me and my partner spilt a few years later. We remained close friends and 3 years on we got back together. When we got referred again. We were told had to start whole process again. Every test etc as was new consultant and because of cuts etc waiting lists were longer than they had been years ago. When we came out my partner just looked at me and said 'we not doing it'. My heart sank. He then rang a local private clinic to move things forward a little faster. I know I'm extremly lucky to be able to do this
I'm in the North East. 36 in a weeks time. If I knew what I know now back all them years ago I certainly would not have stopped the process......but my journey so far has made me who I am and I know me and my partner wouldn't of survived at that time.
Sorry that wasn't that short.....youve got a little life story xx
Oh I love your breaking up and getting back together story! How romantic! If a couple can get through ivf, they can get through anything! If you want to see my fertility story it's probably best to look over my posts - got diagnosed with infertility last January. I'm so pleased you're finally doing it. If this doesn't work we will go private too x
I'll have a nosy. Not sleeping much at the minute so will give me something to do other than catch up on crappy tv like "celbs go dating", "don' tell the bride" etc
Positive thoughts Mrs.. it will work. You won't have to go private and ull be able to spend that money on lovely things for a little one and family holidays etc. We have to have hope xx
I couldn't sleep either and was watching married at first sight. Love crappy Tv. I hope you're right that this round will work so we can keep hold of our savings to buy stuff for the baby, keep doing stuff to the house, and help supplement me being on maternity leave!! Last year was so crappy, I had to have so many painful tests, procedures and 2 surgeries. Hope this is our year xxx
Amazing news!! Did you keep taking the dhea and ubiquinol when stimming? xx
Fantastic news lovely, keeping fingers toes and paws crossed for you!! Can’t wait for updates 💕 xx
