Update: Day 6 post egg collection

Day 6 update: One 3AB made it to the freezer! The other 2 sadly stopped progressing. I am still so gobsmacked that we even have 1 to freeze.

That concludes this cycle and I now very gratefully enter into the TWW.

Things I have learnt so far from both cycles:

- don’t get so hung up on quality and numbers. Poor quality embryos can still become a baby (my last round as proof)

- No IVF cycles are the same. Just because you respond poorly in one round doesn’t mean you will respond poorly in the next!!

Will keep you guys updated on my symptoms throughout the TWW and of course, if this will result in BFN or hopefully BFP. Hoping my day by day account will help someone like it has for me.

Short protocol; 225 stim throughout. 

Day 0 (EC day): 10 eggs 🤯🤯🤯

Day 1: 6 embryos

Day 2: 6 embryos: 1 is 2 cell; 3 at 4 cell; 1 at 6 cell; 1 at 8 cell. NB ideal range for day two is cells between 2-6. Embryologist said no more checking days 3-5.

Day 3: 4 still viable, 2 not progressing

Day 4: No update

Day 5: Embryo transfer of 4AB

Day 6: 1 x 3AB in the freezer

Thank you so much! So grateful we have 1 in the freezer. Hoping this one sticks. So far only vivid nonsensical dreams from the lovely pressaries! Saw that you are trying one more round, I’m really rooting for you!! X

Aw thank you lovely. Yeh we have a great success from ivf but want to give her a sibling. We have had 5 failed transfers after her, so this is it. Different protocol this time, so keeping everything crossed. Thank you. 😊 xx
