Hi I was 40 in may and have been told I’m going through early menopause and have a very low egg reserve 0.2. Because of the red tape surrounding ivf I have had to move my doctors into another NHS district, but while I wait for an appointment I’m trying some Acupunture . Im still hoping to catch naturally as if we do get ivf they have told me I will have to use egg donor. Neither myself or my partner has any children. Has anyone any advice? X

Hi Emma, sorry to hear about your low AMH. I was in a similar situation to you, and have been doing acupuncture weekly for almost a year. We did ultimately decide however to go with DE to increase our chances. But I think that’s a decision that takes time to make. I just had my embryo transfer last week.
I think acupuncture is greet to stimulate blood flow to the uterus. But talk to your doctor and acupuncturist and they will probably give you a more clear picture.
Thank you Smang were you still having your periods I’m still having a 28 day cycle x
Have you looked in to dhea and ubiquinol? How long have you been trying? Low amh could mean low response to ivf stimms in terms of number of eggs but these drugs have been known to help. Otherwise are your cycles / periods regular and normal? If so then natural is still possible. Good luck with the appointments x
