Morning all today I start my 2nd phase

I start on gonal f today really nervous about this going for my first scan on friday has anyone used this drug? What side affects did you have thanks all xxx

Ah good luck! I have used gonal f, I always felt a little light headed but nothing too major, I did get really bloated, but was comforted at the thought that it was making me grown lots of follicles! Xx

Morning, I have now had gonal f 4 times and personally I would say you have nothing to worry about. The first time I had to inject myself my hand was shaking all over, now I can do it with my eyes closed. I would say only side effect is a bit snappy and emotional but I think that's allowed 😁 a couple of times the injection stung abit so my advice is take note of where you do it and don't inject in same area. Hi Lisamaria,

It’s understandable that you are nervous. For my first cycle I used gonal F 375 units. Make sure you drink plenty of water and should be fine. I actually felt better after a few days on this but I didn’t feel great during down regulation. You may get a few headaches and I felt a little tired. As your follicles grow you might feel a little bloated.

Hi Lisamarie, I don’t recall having had any major side effects with Gonal F. What was good was the preloaded pen to inject with. Found that quite handy. Wishing you lots and lots of luck as you get started. It is a stressful time, try your best to make time for yourself to relax and do some nice things to help you cope in the coming weeks xx

I used Gonal F and can’t remember having any side effects, nothing that comes to mind anyway. Good luck 🙂 xxx

I found gonal -f was great for getting rid of the down-reg drug side effects!

This round, I started to feel pain in my abdomen on the last few days, and felt bloated. I think this was because I grew a lot of follicles on this round (not as many as some people on here, but a lot for me, and they were nearly all on my right ovary). So I think it was my ovaries aching. That’s quite a reassuring side effect though as it means you’re growing those follies x
