SO many scans...

I’m on day 8 of stims today. Had my baseline scan last Friday, a scan on Wednesday, a scan today and now they’ve said I need a scan tomorrow as well. My biggest follicle is 12 mm and my lining is 12.7.

It’s my third round and I’ve never had so many scans before. I know they’re looking after me but AAARGH I hate the dildo cam! Totally retroverted uterus so it hurts, even with painkillers taken beforehand. I feel very sorry for myself today. Cheer me up ladies before my long drive to the clinic tomorrow 😬😬😬

Ouch! Dildo can isn’t best at the easiest of times! Not long now and hopefully dildo cam can do one for a bit! xx

Don't think I can cheer you up but I had to have 4 scans this time before I was ready!!! Scans 1 - 3 were quite painful too as they had to play hide and seek for my left ovary!! Hopefully you get the news you need today!! x

My left ovary was behind my womb on Wednesday but more accessible yesterday, hope it’s better today.

I very much doubt this will be the last one as I stimmed for 13 days last time.

Sorry it's so taxing for you! Well I hope it all goes well for you and not too much discomfort... just try to stay optimistic and see this as just one part of the process, will be over at some point!! Good luck.

That’s exactly what I’m looking forward to... the end!!

One more scan on Monday (that will be 5 in 11 days), then hopefully EC next Wednesday.... 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Funny (ish) story, walked in for my EC and the doctor who was performing it was an old school friend of my husbands who he hadn't seen for years. Even though I was the one with my knickers off and legs in the air, my husbands face might have been blushing more! Haha

Hi I’m new to this site I’ve been trying to conceive for 14 years and no luck first try of ivf and I’m just really concerned as I haven’t had a bleed and I’m on day 10 of the buserelin injection I’m supposed to start gonal f injection on Saturday but what happens if I don’t bleed?

I’m sorry but I don’t know, my clinic don’t give you a date to start stims until they’ve confirmed you’ve down regulated with a scan, and the scan is not arranged until seven to ten days after you start to bleed.

I think it’s quite likely you’ll start to bleed before Saturday though. Lots of people find their bleed is delayed when on buserelin. Call your clinic if you still have not bled by Friday x
