Round 2 of icsi, first app today🤞

Hi folks, I haven't posted in a wee while, though I have been reading and liking posts So happy New year 😁 we had cp April last year on our one and only nhs cycle an unfortunately had no frosties. Anyway its a new year so today we had our first app for private cycle (sooo expensive 😓) my period isn't due until Monday so i have to ring wen it comes and they will do up my schedule then. last time I had nasal spray for down regs and 225iu of bemfola for 11 days. I only got 3 eggs and 2 fertilised an were transferred. Obviously I was disappointed with egg quanity as all showed good at scans. This time I will b doin nasal again and 300 iu of bemfola for 12 days. They are goin to check bloods at scans also so to check if estrogen levels matches the follicles scan shows. Anyway I also have to tell them wen i ring about period if i want the endometrial scratch as this is done during down reg. What is anyone opinion on scratch? Nurse told me today the stats for it is on a slippery slope and she thinks no benefit? Also has anyone used bemfola injections an what iu? 😁 xx

The scratch is relatively inexpensive and a simple procedure. My feeling on it was it couldn’t do any harm to have it when I was spending a small fortune on privately funded cycles anyway. We only had one NHS cycle too where we live and are just started 4th privately funded. This time donor eggs. Double the price this time. Haven’t had a holiday or done anything to the house for years!

Sorry I’ve never had those injections you mention.

Hiya littleflower82, I will be starting bemfola on my next round, period due 15th and I ring them to go from there. I’ll be on long protocol this time as I had short protocol last. I’m still unsure how it all works out because you down reg first I think. Hope it all goes well for you. I also asked my clinic about a endo scratch and they said there’s not enough proof that it works but since September last year they’ve been using the embo glue with everyone. That was news to me 😳. Thanks for replies ladies, Dunla good luck for ur 4th cycle, hopefully 2018 is he year I think I will go for scratch tho hubby seems to just go b clinic and thinks i shouldnt.

Crazymrsrees79 we will b cucle buddies bar a few days Then, I'm due in Monday for once I'm dying for period to come lol!! So U know what strength of bemfola u will b on? I assume this is long protocol as 3 weeks of nasal them 12 days injections at least. B end of March if i get that far before testing 🤞 gud luck xx

Hiya, I haven’t a clue what dosage I’ll be on. That’s all I was told in the last appointment that they’ll try me on that drug and do the long protocol instead and to ring them on the day of my period. I also only found out what my amh levels were (never knew on first round). Amh levels are 3 which ain’t great and hubbys swimmers aren’t the best either, consultant says we only have a 5% chance of it working and seeing as we won’t be able to afford a private funded round (most probably tell us we would be better off with donor egg and sperm also) this is the time where that 5% works 🤞🏻🤞🏻. I pray it will be our time and I have all crossed for you. Keep me posted how you get on xx
