Egg Donor Needed

Hi all, my partner and myself are looking for a known egg donor, someone that would be kind enough to donate their eggs and also stay in touch to some extend even if at arms length. We have a son already but no luck trying for number two. We are London based. Xx

Hello my friend. I hope you are well.

Have you tried going to a fertility clinic? There they have a program for that. Very similar to sperm banks.

I am attending a clinic where they have that program. It is a bit far but it is worth every mile traveled. I can help you get information if you want.

Were you in a fertility treatment with your first pregnancy? Or was it 100% natural?

Have a nice day :)

Hello there,

Thanks for your reply. I had my first child naturally but have suffered several losses trying for a sibling. I would prefer a known donor and clinics would only offer anonymous.

Hi Chrissy. In the UK it is the law that donors are to be known. It is only outwith that you have anonymous donors. Hope that helps.

I just did some research for you i found out there are different agencies in UK but the guidelines and directions when you have treatment abroad with contributor eggs are altogether different from those when you have treatment in the UK with UK-based givers . Have you thought about the egg donors overseas ? I suggest you to do a Google search you would find it definitely useful in deciding the right thing for you. Best of luck hun xx

Hey, thanks for posting. It’s the law that children conceived by donor egg can look for donor when reach 18 but we’d like to know our donor prior to conceiving and maintain relationship with them going forward if possible xx

Hmmm tricky one then. I guess the clinic would be a place to start. I am not sure how I have heard of this before. Perhaps a Google search for egg surrogacy? Apologies if you have already done this. Good luck in your search. Xx

Hi

We’re in the same position but how do you ask someone if they would donate their eggs to you?

We only have 2 tries on the NHS unless we can find a donor then we can a free go again.

Hi Ladyluck, there are some Facebook groups and also the Donor Conception forum where you can appeal. I have had two lovely ladies offer to donate both of whom have donated previously to others. I was just hoping to find someone more local if that were possible.

Would this be your first baby, have you been trying for some time?

Hello, I’m just looking through old posts tying to find info on known donors in the uk. Do you mind me asking where you managed to find people to appeal to? What Facebook groups? I find the anonymous thing too odd in the uk and would like to see photos and maybe have a phone chat with a donor xx

Hey, there are several FB groups, try searching on FB under IVF or Egg Donation and they should come up. I know a lady based Bournemouth way looking to egg share/donate if you’d like yo speak to her? She’s donated before, she doesn’t have any egg issues but has to have ivf as hubby has problems with sperm. Every time she has donated it’s resulted in live birth xx

I’d be interested in speaking to her, yes? Did you find her on Facebook?x

Ah bless you Jessie, so kind if you. I guess the main reasons why going abroad may prove difficult is that a lots of countries have complete anonymity even when child is 18. We want the opposite, we’d like a friendship with any donor going forward, completely open and honest relationship. I know there are some donors that prefer this too but just a question of finding the right one!

Ladyluck, so sorry to hear of your unsuccessful tries. Whereabouts are you based?

X
