So we made our decision that DE is definitely the route we want to go down, and since our counselling session we both feel really excited! However I think we’ve found a donor which is really weird as we only had our counselling on Tuesday! We don’t want to rush into it, but equally she seems a good match and we don’t want to lose the eggs!! Any advice welcome!

I think you should listen to your gut instinct and if she feels like a match for you, follow your heart. We are also about to start treatment using donor eggs and also feeling excited now to be at this stage. Wishing you very best of luck with your decision x

Thank you so much! I think we are both quite blown away at how quick, it’s been 6 weeks since we were told my egg quality was poor, but this bit has happened so quickly after the counselling appointment it just seems crazy! Xxxx

Take as long as you need to think if through but if you feel ready go for it! We’ve not looked back since starting the donor egg journey ourselves xx

Wow, how exciting. Why wait? Sometimes it can take months to find a donor so you are very lucky to find one so quickly. Go for it and wishing you all the very best. X

I am currently in my 2ww after donor egg transfer. I must say, after all the drugs, injections and a terrible response to Norithisterone in my last ivf cycle , the donor egg route is much more gentle and natural feeling. Let me know if you have any questions at all. Xx

Well, an egg donation, honestly I didn’t know my donor because it was forbidden by my clinic. All donors are anonymous; they will never meet us in the real life. We just had an access to the donor database where we could see lots of donor 3D profiles with small video presentations. We had a right to choose up to 7 donors, of course the criteria of choosing depend on each couple's preferences.
