So recently have had all the tests..amh good level 20, semen analysis all good, scan no cysts or fibriods and visable follicles, tube test and tubes clear so why are we having these problems so frustrating! Anyway have nhs appt 27th as had these tests privately and as have A 7 year old iui is nhs option. Anyone had similar experiences? If iui unsuccessful then self funded ivf late spring. I think possible hormonal issues and never get positive opk but progesterone bloods say ovulating. Since coming off birth control and ttc 4 years ago i spot for a week before period then A few days of just heavy clots but no one ever seems bothered by this! Why is the most natural thing in the world so difficult for us all!!

Unexplained infertility then success?
Hi lovely, so sorry to hear you're going through such a rough time. It's such a hard journey and life can be so cruel at times. I just wondered if they told you what level your progesterone was measured at? Only reason I ask is I have a similar problem, I spot anywhere from 2 - 5 days before my period and then have lots of clots. I was told by my Consultant that my blood tests show I'm ovulating but at a suboptimal level which she thinks is causing implantation issues, i.e. any embryo conceived is getting 'washed out' due to me spotting and my lining breaking down too early. Wishing you every success with your journey and sending you love and BIG hugs ❤ xxx
Hey thankyou for replying. My last day 21 bloods were 68 and just got told was fine can you tell me what that means? I always wondered if I have like a short luteal phase and implantation issues. If u dont me asking what have they done for u regarding this?xxx
Hi lovely, I was told by my Consultant that anything over 1 indicates you are ovulating and anything less then 1 indicates that you are not ovulating but they like the levels to be above 30. They have started me on Clomid, my understanding is that this will boost my levels to ensure my progesterone rises and hopefully will prevent any spotting. It is all very confusing though isn't it?!? Hope everything goes well for you at your next appointment. Let us now how you get on xxx
I wonder whether you have some symptoms of mild endometriosis which they could check for through diagnostic laparoscopy? Might be worth asking about before paying for ivf if your iui is unsuccessful... but hopefully it will work xx
I had this and finally got diagnosed with an hormonal imbalance. My progesterone levels are great immediately after ovulation and then drop, causing spotting. Having mixed reactions to progesterone supplements on natural cycles but trying to remain positive. Taking ubiquinol and royal jelly, plus a few diet tweaks to try to improve egg quality. Also experimenting with vitex in the first half of the cycle with cyclogest in the second half. Expecting IVF to begin in the spring so hoping for a miracle beforehand xx
Hi dmccmky. Oh if only I could answer you! So frustrating for you and many others. It’s probably just as well we have IVF to fall back on. When I’m back on 3rd January, I can send you some questions to look through if you want, before you see your specialist again. My emails are confidential. Email me at support@fertilitynetworkuk.org and I will send them if you want. Diane
