Start Date! NERVOUS!

Hi Ladies,

I just got the call after waiting a week of letting the hospital know my day 1... thinking they will start it in the new year.. but they said 21st December is my start date.... going through every emotion.. excited, scared, sad but need to keep positive!

If anyone has any tips or advise please let me know

Hello! Great, you are on the way! I think no particular tips apart from make sure you know exactly when trigger shot is to be taken, and tell your partner too.. and set alarms etc. I was a complete bozo on my second cycle, and managed to get confused and miss it and panic calls to the unit etc! So awful. (the trigger shot you inject once to help mature your eggs before egg collection day)

Otherwise, keep calm, keep asking the hive mind here if you have any worries or your nurses at your clinic.

I think we can tend to forget the chap in all this.. make sure he's keeping off the booze and away from hot baths!

I’ve downloaded a mindful ivf app and I really like it. Each session is only 10 minutes long but I am finding it really relaxing.

Good luck. I’ve done 3 cycles. I would say try not to search for every symptom during the 2ww but I know it’s hard. Just try and take it in you stride and don’t panic too much. The first cycle is scary as you don’t know what to expect but if you need anything let us know xxx

Hey lovely, this is very exciting but also very normal to be nervous. I am waiting for day 1 so I can phone and be told my start date for injections so seems we are starting the process at similar times.

I am doing acupuncture once a week to help regulate my body, also drinking 150ml of pom juice every morning, keep feet walk and ive been told by one of my close girls to keep belly warm during injections with a wheat bag. Try to keep relaxed and stay strong!

Aww exciting hun! I had to wait a week where they said they were soo busy, bit scared but my hubby is getting excited for the journey.

we have been having acupuncture since June, I think its helped my natural cycle a lot so hopefully have prepared myself enough..

whats pom juice? I haven't herd of that?

Ahh that's a bit frustrating but at least you are on your way now

Sorry, Pomegranate juice. Its said to help thicken your endometrial lining but ensure you get 100% pomegranate juice. I buy the Pom Wonderful, its expensive about £3.50 a bottle but if it helps I thought I would try it.
