I’ve had a failed round of ivf in jan, and again this November. Ive also had a chemical pregnancy in August. I’m concerned I have an implantation failure issue. Could this be because I have endometriosis ?
I have a follow up appointment in December, what (if any ) additional testing /treatment can they do for recurrent implantation failure? I only seem to produce 5-7 eggs even though I have a high amh, good fertilisation rate but average quality blastocysts so nothing to freeze
Any help I would be grateful for xx

Hi, firstly I’m so sorry things haven’t worked out for you yet, and I don’t know much about repeated failure to implant but I have read endo can impact. I’m not sure exactly how but I think it depends where the endo is growing? So I would ask your dr if they think it’s worth removing the endo before you try again (my dr said no to this though because I really struggled with recovery after my removal)
Endo doesn’t usually impact egg quality or fertilisation if it’s IVF though I don’t think so I guess you could ask if they know what is causing that? I only had 6 eggs, and only one egg fertilised and was told it could be the sperm responsible for the poor resultsso maybe ask if you need further sperm testing?
I also have heard about people doing special diets etc to improve egg quality, I don’t know much about that but it could be something to ask?
I had implantation issues and ended up have a Hysteroscopy in Athens that also did implantation cuts (like a scratch but more full on!) we truly believe this is why this time worked. My lining was very thick with poor blood supply so they cut into my lining to the good blood supply and now I'm 8 weeks pregnant xx
I had the scratch previous 2 cycles to this one but turns out it wouldn't have touched the sides so to speak as it needed to be deeper. I do think the scratch helps though generally so if you haven't had one before worth a try and not overly expensive compared to other ivf add ons (mine was £150 privately)
I had the hysterscopy in Athens at a clinic called Serum but I had actual ivf cycle at our clinic in Cyprus the month after.
Our clinic has always been in Cyprus. It they suggested hysteroscopy after 2 failed DE cycles and I did some reasearch and Serum seemed the best. They are also a good clinic for IVF from what I’ve read but a bit more expensive than ours. And ours discount each time you go back. But Serum do seem good on testing for other things although it puts the price up! I also had the hidden Infections test there for £300 and had to take antibiotics for a month to clear hidden infections. I would also recommend that.
Yes I’ve been looking into those tests, do u mean the menstrual blood test? I had not heard of it until I contacted serum. I’ll give it another look, thanks for the tip x
Yes that's the one! I did it from the UK and posted it. It did the job as I had no infection when I had the Hysteroscopy. A friend of mine had the Hysteroscopy and the video you get of it showed lots of inflammation from infection so she did the test after and then took the antibiotics to clear it before her cycle in Cyprus x
