Implantation Failure Clinic

Alwaysbelieving profile image

I have a scan next week where I’ll get the date for our 6th embryo transfer and if this one doesn’t work we will be self referring (upon encouragement in our last follow up) to a clinic linked to a University in the UK which specialises in repeated implantation failure etc…if you know, you know! Has anyone else self referred recently and can give me an idea on the time frame from first point of contact to first appointment? Thank you.

Fingers crossed you don’t need it. Is it natural killer testing? I’d be interested in the responses too. I’m heading for my 6th transfer too on March. Let’s hope 6 is the magic number for us both x

Oh I do hope so 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Yes for the NK testing, if this one doesn’t work I really do think that will be the cause as absolutely nothing else is getting flagged up but I could be wrong and just looking for reasons! I hope March comes around quickly for you, I hate waiting for appointments and cycles to come round xx

I’m delaying for a big bday 🙈 . Keep me posted how you get on. All my tests so far are normal 🤷🏽‍♀️. So frustrating I want something to ‘fix’. Good luck xx

I suffer from re occurring implantation failure. Just did my 5th transfer but not hopeful. The last 3 I was on immune protocol for high nk cells but still no luck. I did it privately as didn't want to wait long.

Hi there,

I had an online consultation in November after a MMC, and just had my endometrial function test earlier this wk. How long it takes from consult to testing depends upon your cycle length. I had to wait until at least one cycle after the miscarriage. I think it takes around 5-6 wks for the results.

Fingers crossed the next transfer works and you won’t need it. X

Thank you, I hope you get some insight and the info you need to move forward with your treatment. I was just wondering whether it was worth getting in touch now with the clinic but I’m not sure how soon I would have to make the payment. Maybe I should just wait and see how this next attempt goes and try to be more hopeful that it will work! Wishing you all the best with your next attempt xx

From what I recall you can book an appt for a consult and you are asked to pay for it 72 hours in advance of the appt at the latest. Think it’s around £160ish.

If I were you, go into your next cycle with positive thoughts and focus on that. Don’t plan for failure!! I know it’s difficult because of all you’ve been through but don’t count yourself out before you’ve even started. There are so many ladies on this forum who’ve had multiple failed attempts and then one works when they least expect it.

If it doesn’t go to plan, then book the consult. From what I remember, it was only a wait of 2-3 wks for me so hopefully it won’t be too long for you IF you need it.

Good luck! X

I hope your cycle works out, wishing you the best of luck.

I have had 2 failed IVF rounds and was advised to attend the clinic you mentioned. I actually have my biopsy tomorrow, so if you would like any details etc in the future, feel free to pop me a message and I can let you know how it goes/process etc. It was £160 for online consultation and £700 for the uterus biopsy and blood tests x

Is this the one with Dr B? I'm having my biopsy done next week :) When I called up I got an appointment a few days later then luckily my cycle had just started so I just had to wait for ovulation to book in for the biospy so as long as your cycle is in a good place it can all be super quick!! Dr B told me results in 3-4 weeks but I know sometimes it can be 5-6 so am anticipating that just in case. Good luck :)
