Hi, I have recently been referred for IVF through NHS. Just awaiting initial appointment which they said could take 4-6 months. In the mean time I have being going to a reflexologist who asked me to chart my temperature to see when I’m ovulating however the last 2 months it doesn’t look like I have. I’m feeling confused as all tests done by GP and fertility clinic suggest that I have been ovulating. Could this have been missed? I’ve seen that some people take medication such as chlomid before IVF but we have went straight to a referral? I’m

Because you are ovulating you don’t need clomid, as this stimulates ovulation for women who don’t ovulate at all or on a very irregular basis. I was informed by gynaecologist that occasion women don’t ovulate every month. Please don’t panic it’s a good thing to be moving forward and being placed on a waiting list. That and clomid turns even the most level headed into a hormonal mess!!!! Hope you don’t have to wait to long and good luck for the future!
Thank you very much for your reply. I am at the stage where I over analyse absolutely everything. Probably trying to find a reason why it’s not happening for us!
Hey, I’m sure everything is fine but has your GP done a day 21 blood test to check for ovulation? The first GP I went to never did this test and told me everything was fine it wasn’t until I moved GP’s they did this test. I hope the time goes quick for you xx
Yea I’ve had the day 21 test which confirmed I was ovulating. I used to use ovulation strips but was finding them more stressful rather than useful so started using thermometer. Last month it didn’t look like I’d ovulated and I am on day 16 now and haven’t yet either...
That's a long waiting time. Its there any other clinics you could try in your area that has a contact wuthering your CCG?
Yea that’s what I’m thinking. And I’m sure they would have tried anything else before IVF referral if they thought it would be worthwhile. There are no other clinics in our area I’m afraid so just gonna have to play the waiting game!
