Hi

New to this whole process. Recently diagnosed with Hydrosalpinx and waiting for next appointment on the 7th Nov to discuss next steps and how we move forward so we are right at the beginning of our journey 😕 Anyone in a similar situation??

Hey, I’ve been there! Ended up having it drained during egg collection. Just started round too so interested to know if the fluid has returned. Good luck with your journey x

Hi. I am right in the same situation. My clinic suggested a re-scan after my next period, have had that this week, and sadly it is still there, pretty much the same size. I will hopefully hear from my doctor soon, but they said before that if this was the case they would suggest removal of the tube or clipping it. I am preparing for a donor egg cycle, and have had previous cycles where it wasn't seen before. They said that if the fluid in the tube discharges during the cycle it is not good for embryo implantation. I've read on the web that it can halve your chances.. so it needs dealing with. I couldn't believe it.. yet another thing to deal with!

Hi I'm going through same at the moment,had a laparoscopy 4 weeks ago had hydrosalpix in right tube which they removed and left one covered in scare tissue .they wanted mine removed so I would have better chance at ivf,so I went to follow up appointment only to be told my fsh is 9.7 and I need to be 9 or under to get nhs ivf funding so my heads all over the place..so I'm trying to lower them asap b4 not appointment if I can't he's not putting me in for nhs funding with I'm feeling really bad over 😟

So sorry to hear that you’ve been diagnosed with a hydrosalpinx, i was diagnosed about 8 months ago with a hydrosalpinx in my left tube, after diagnosis i had 2 transvaginal scans, one showed the hydrosalpinx had got worse and the 2nd showed the hydrosalpinx had cleared, my gynae then said she wanted me to have a lap and dye to assess and have a look at my tubes, which i had 4 weeks ago, the op showed that, there is no sign of any fluid in my tube but both my tubes are blocked, so have been told i will need IVF, i’m now waiting for my next gynae to appointment to find out wether there going to clip or remove my tubes prior to starting IVF.
