Cabergoline

Hi after reading the article from the Journal of Sleep Medicine I see that Cabergoline is strongly recommended. However it seems to be listed as a Dopamine Agonist which obviously is a no no .Could anyone explain this to me please? Thankyou

0.25mg is a widely used medication for managing elevated prolactin levels, particularly in conditions like hyperprolactinemia and prolactinomas.

I’m on blood thinners (aspirin and Clexane) and Cabergoline to help reduce ohss

I have all the risk factors for OHSS, but we are mitigating as much as possible (gnrh agonist trigger, freezing eggs, Cabergoline, clexane and gnrh antagonist for the next few days). For those who have had OHSS, how long after the collection did you start to get symptoms?

I wasn't expecting it and it wasn't in the original plan, but I've been prescribed Cabergoline for 8 days, to start at the same time as the trigger, and will have to start clexane (blood thinners) and ganirelix (gnrh agonist) injections following egg retrieval.

My 2 theories are: Side effects of the Cabergoline that I started taking on Saturday or Hormone levels shifting since stopping the stims. My estrogen levels got really high, so presumably they're dropping now. It could, of course, be a combination of these two things. Anyone got any thoughts?

fertilised and 7 made it to the freezer with A/B grades (really happy with that number) So, predictably I did develop OHSS quite soon after, my abdomen was quite swollen before egg retrieval (68 is a lot of follicles), the fertility clinic were great, advised to wear flight socks for 2 weeks, prescribed cabergoline

Cabergoline (dopamine agonist) is employed to decrease prolactin production and its role in the progression of androgen-independent malignancy. We propose a clioquinol/cabergoline treatment regimen that will be efficacious for aborting terminal advanced prostate cancer.

Cabergoline reduces prolactin, which promotes prostate cancer mutation and growth. If a doctor will not prescribe Cabergoline, then would Mucuna (natural L-Dopa) extract and Vitex Berry extract have the same effectiveness as the cabergoline, in targeting and reducing prolactin?

Today is day 3 of my frozen embryo transfer and because i have hyperprolactinemia i have being taken cabergoline weekly.

2 weeks after restarting Orgovyx, continue cabergoline 0.25mg once a week while on Orgovyx.

I am already on cabergoline medication (maybe that’s an effect of this medication?) Any recommendations? Does this start to get better when you have a period? Thank you xx
