New to this...me and husband have been ttc for over 2 years and have a lap and dye booked for the day after tomorrow. Anyone had this? I have a biconruate uterus with only one Fallopian tube attached and am really struggling with the emotional rollercoaster that every month seems to be...how do you all manage the disappointment and getting af?
Thanks all, looking forward to some support from those going through similar things. X

Hi Sweet I had a lap and dye last year mine was pretty straight forward as I had no issues it was just investigative was in and out of hospital the same day. Any questions please feel free to ask xxx
Thanks! Have seen rumours that once people have had their lap and dye it gives them a bit of a 'flush out' and lots of people get a bfp afterwards. Was this true in your case? How long were you off work for? Xxx
I've heard this too unfortunately it wasn't the case for us - we're currently in our first round of IVF. I had 2 weeks off work think the hospital advises around 1-2 weeks, guess it depends on your job etc x
Not that I'd get my hopes up! Fingers crossed that all goes well for you 🤞🏼 okay thank you, I teach primary so will have to see how I feel. Thank you for your support, good luck with your journey xxx
Hey, I had a lap and dye 3 years ago but also had ovarian drilling and endo removed at the same time. Have you got time off after for recovery?
I don't think the disappointment is every something we can manage, all I would say is once I started treatment I began to accept that it wouldn't happen naturally. That's not to say some months are a lot tougher than others when AF arrives, wishing you lots of luck xx
Yeah I'm sure that will be fine, I was off for 2 weeks but only cause I had a few complications. It definitely is hard, I don't think it's ever something you fully come to terms with but some days become easier than others. I've heard some women get pregnant after a lap & dye to so fingers crossed it'll be lucky for you xx
Hi Rach, I had a lap and dye last week, on Tuesday. I went back to work today (office desk job) but am still quite sore so taking tomorrow to rest too...
I had a bit of work done including treating some endometriosis so I think this has prolonged the recovery somewhat. I have friends who just had the diagnostic side, no issues and were back at work within a couple of days (one who works as a nurse on her feet all day) so I think it just depends.
I too have heard that first couple of cycles after a lap are common for getting a bfp so fingers and toes crossed! If you have any qs about the procedure feel free to msg me based on my experience so far x
I also hope that lap and dye will help you to conceive. I had 7 days to recover after mine. As for the disappointment, it's really hard to manage... But time helps. After every failure I had a couple of days off and spent them wandering or being close to nature. I mean lakes, rivers, woods. It calmed me down. And I spent time with my husband, as it was hard for him as well... But I really hope that you will not need my advice!
