Weird ...

Hello my lovelies

Since ive been taking menopur ive been getting weird pains in my sides (where my ovaries are) if feels like a strange scratching/pumping feeling and feels like they have grown claws haha!! Its not painful or anything like that im guessing its just where there growing now.

Then i had a thought of omg hopefully there will be a baby in there soon and then thought about all the movements from feeling the baby which gave me a warm kind of feeling <3

Little things like that messes with your head though doesn't it, as nice as it is to start thinking like that you dont want to get your hopes up for them to be shattered back down.

Hello!

I'm due to start taking Menopur on the 15th so while I cant comment personally, I have read about others who've had similar experiences.

I've just finished taking Norethisterone tablets and I'm still using the Buserlin spray. Whilst I haven't yet had any pains yet I'm so much more aware of my ovaries/body in general.

You're right though - whilst it's lovely to think of how it will be when there's a baby moving inside you it's so hard to try and be grounded. Especially as most days on this forum there are lovely pregnancy announcements!

I wish you all the best and hope the feelings stay as just that and don't turn painful.

Good luck for the menopur, when i was just taking the buserlin injections i had no symptoms, nothing felt different everything was the same then i started the menopur on the 31st and yeah since then i deffo feel a lot more going on down there haha!

Im quite worried about OHSS because before i started any injections they do the scan to check follicles they could see 30 already! and from what ive seen on here thats quite a good amount so im just hoping they dont go wild in there and start producing a ridiculous amount!!

What are the next stages for you then?xxx

We're having ICSI not IVF but I'm quite lucky and have a short treatment schedule. I have to take Menopur for a week before my first scan so wont have any indications about how well things are working (or not working) until the end of September.

It's amazing that your scan showed 30 follicles! From what I've seen thats an amazing figure 🙏🏼 fingers crossed things stay at a high level for you xxxx

Ohh okay yeah im having IVF long protocol, did they not do a scan before any treatment im sure it was just to check everything out before treatment? (im not 100% sure what it was for lol) well best of luck for the end of September hopefully everything will have worked out perfect

I think it's lovely how you've been able to look at it like that and take a small positive for the medication. It is a cruel part of the journey through that the drugs give you pregnant like symptoms but definitely keeping everything crossed this is the time for BFP and soon all those weird feelings will be from babies.
