DHEA & cycle

Looking for some advice/experience! Has anyone had experienced a change in their cycle or no bleeding with DHEA? X

I've heard of quite a few people missing periods on DHEA. Maybe speak to your consultant to see what they suggest? Xxx

Ive read that it can interfer with your natural cycle and should only be used in preparation for ivf I'm due to start taking for the first time shortly so no personal experience as of yet xxx

That's reassuring to hear, presume it doesn't matter given that IVF will then take over. I've not had any other side effects by the way, hope that reassures you for starting x

Yes I think that's the idea that the meds will then control the cycle. Good to to know there haven't been any side effects wishing you all the best hope all goes well xxx

Thank you - same to you. When are you due to start the cycle? Ours will probably be October/November x

Hopefully mid Oct time I'll start meds so will be similar times, fingers crossed for us both xxx

My first cycle was perhaps a few days later but settled down after that....then again I started it after a failed cycle so it might have just been that. Didn't make my period heavier or anything though my PMT symptoms were stronger, sorer boobs etc.xx

IVF has made my cycles longer and I've missed a cycle after the last withdrawal bleed. Been 12 weeks since my last bleed! 🤔 x

Oh really! I didn't completely miss mine, they just got a couple of days longer. I'd have chat with the clinic and see what they say!!xx

Yeah I will. My cycle can be 6 weeks so have just been waiting to see what would happen. Thanks Hun xx
