As predicted BFN!

Well as most of you are aware unfortunately our first cycle was unsuccessful do to bleed 9dp3dt Test date was today at clinic and confirmed negative !!!!( Short protocol as I was high risk of over stimming ) however I am still very positive and fortunate enough to be funded for 1 more cycle through nhs! First round fertilisation was a bit disappointing as clinic thought we would have more fertilised than we did and possible freeze. Out of 13 eggs only 8 suitable for icsi only 2 fertilised, 1 put bk but unfortunately other didn't make freeze!!!

However I have review appointment in October and nxt cycle dec/Jan which is alot sooner than we thought. Fortunately I coped very well with my first process of drugs (obviously outcome was devastating ) but my darling husband (who has been amazing through all this) are dusting ourselves down as we speak.

I was very aware of ivf/icsi as a close friend of mines went through ivf 3 times (3 failed unfortunately ) and I was there on her journey, (different diagnosis ) I think this helped me a little as I knew the process prior to first cycle. Where as if your going into this blind I can totally see where this can be a scary experience! !..

I would like to wish everyone going through this at what ever stage of there journey they are at the very very best of luck. Unfortunately this does not work for everybody but the positive thing is it does work!!!!

I'm sorry to hear of your result so also so encouraged and inspired by your message and the attitude you've conveyed. I only hope i have the same strength and courage when/if I'm faced with a Bfn. Thank you

Obviously I know not everyone is as fortunate with having 2nd funding, an also know that there unfortunately are people out there who might never get there BFP ! but as long as I'm still healthy and looking positively into the future I will give this my best bloody shot. Stay positive with your journey and all the very best xxx

Your post is a good reminder because I think we all have something to be grateful for one way or another. Sometimes it might not feel that way but we should try to hang on to some positivity and move forward in any way we can

Very sorry to read this. Take care hun and time out to recharge. Next time could be very different. I've read back on posts where there have been BFN and within the year a BFP. We can but hope. Good luck for dec/ jan. Xx
