Period after failed icsi ?

Hi ladies just wondering when i should expect my period after a failed icsi ? Is it normal to be late ? I have worked out from my period after 2ww i am now 6 days late to when i would normally have my period ! I expected to be all over the place but not this late ! Very unusual for me because i am always a 25 day girl without fail ..any advice on when u had urs and what to expect would be great , i have my follow up appt at the clinic on monday and was hoping i would of seen by then to work out when i can get the ball rolling for our next round of icsi ! x

Sorry to hear this cycle has not worked for you. I think my period was around day 35 which likewise was unheard of for me. I think it can take a few months to settle back to normal.

Hi daydreamer89. Try not to worry about this, as it is quite common for a period not to show up straight away, when normally expected. You have been through a lot of manipulation of your hormones, and they need to readjust and build your womb lining up again. Good luck with your follow up appointment on Monday. Diane

Thank you for your reply sjp14 , i knew it could of been late but didnt expect it to this late so was getting a bit concerned.. thank you for the information diane , that has eased my mind a bit , it is just a bit annoying that when us ladies want it to arrive it does not 😕 😉 really appreciate it , monday cant come quick enough ! Excited to see what our next steps are xx

I haven't had a period yet either. App 27th Jan an want it to happen before then so I can show my body is getting back to normal! Good luck for Monday let's hope you can start again sooner rather than later. Funny how spent years not wanting a period at the hope it would mean we're pregnant and now we want it!x

Thanks for your replies , period showed her ugly face on friday but i have also never been so glad to see it haha hope yours has arrived by now @fingerscrossed4 .. my appt is at 3pm tmz so i will be clock watching all day till its time to go ! Got that exciting feeling again but at the same the worry because i know what to expect this time around :/ strange! Im hoping they will say we can start again in march , fingers crossed that tmz all goes well .. ☺ hope all you lovely ladies wherever you are with your treatment are doing well and just remember that even though its the hardear thing we will do it will be the most rewarding thing !
