i remember this happening in the 80s the fertility doctor was using his own sperm, and all.the children were born with a an eye defect that requires a permemant patch. It was only when something like 61 children were diagnosed with the same rare genetic condition they started ro investigate. he went to prison, but my heart broke for all the fathers who didn't really have children. And all the relationships that broke down as a result. I remember loads of the children in court stood together with the eye patches and realising they were all related. I would expect in this day and age the screening would be flawless. 👎
