Amniotic sac smaller than it should be....

Hey everyone so since my scan on Monday I've been going out of my mind and preparing for the worst, it's only been two days and already feels like two weeks. The nurse seemed happy with baby's growth and heartbeat was fine but she also mentioned that she was a little concerned about the sac being a few mm smaller than it should be but baby was the right size, I know people are going to say as long as there was a heartbeat that's all that matters and yes that's right but the news of the sac has already prepared me for the worst which means I'm not enjoying the pregnancy at all cause I'm so full of worry. I'm not looking for reassurance really but just for any of you lovely ladies who may of experienced this stories good or bad please as I am very open minded and I know this can go either way xxx

It`s not always leads to miss carriage.

Especially in cases, where "baby was the right size".

If you wish to know more, you can read about it here newkidscenter.com/Gestation...

In case of big concerns - just do the same, as woman in commentary (online Doppler rental service).

Can`t suggest anything than above mentioned but hope that this would help you.

Thank you I will have a look and I'm going to pick up my sisters Doppler later today xx

It's not good to buy a Doppler before 20 weeks as it often gets mixed up with your own heartbeat I feel it Picks it up at all and then when it doesn't you will only panic

just be careful with the Doppler hun. They can cause loads of unnessesary worry, like with me, when I was offered one from the midwife at ten weeks. Nothing, 16 weeks was the first sound I got. The 3 week wait between that happening and scan almost killed me, especially as we had a rainbow baby at 8 weeks. I think dopplers are good to 'top yourself up, so to speak once the pregnancy is well established, but your also in danger of giving yourself the fight of your life if your using it too early. I can understand your worried, I would be too, did they give you a follow up appointment? To see what's going on? Xx

again just to say be careful with the doppler. I got one but didn't pick anything up till 10 weeks. Well actually i did, my own heartbeat!

You can get private scans but the problem is they aren't medically trained doe they might make the worry worse. When are you next due for a scan?

I don't think the worry ever stops. I'm still not enjoying pregnancy at 20weeks. After every hurdle you hear another horror story that gets you stressed and anxious.

Thinking of you and hope all is ok xx
