Who thinks of these prices???

We have got to re-do our consent form with our clinic which is the paperwork to say we're happy with the IVF because our previous consent is out of date.

For a 1hr appointment it is £180 for our consent appointment. I will be finding out who to complain to in regards to this because I just feel it could be something either included or the fee should be a lesser amount. I don't mind paying for treatment but a 1hr appointment for £180. It's takes a long time to earn £180.

They say to stay calm and not be stressed but it's things like this that make you feel frustrated or stressed. Luckily my clinic are lovely and I can discuss it with them.

Why are you paying for an appointment if your NHS funding? My appointments are all in with my funding,

When I had my private cycle I had to pay and that was £210 for a hours consultation crazy isnt it xx

Have you had a round with this clinic? This seems outrageous to me, I had two free cycles at my clinic and now I'm a private patient but I signed my consent form at the follow up appointment and they didn't charge us, I find this quite odd! Definitely speak with them x

Oh I meant to say the initial consultations are £295 at my clinic, which is madness!

A little expensive appointment for one hour of meeting.

But in case of: "our previous consent is out of date" this is tolerable.

Ask about price of further meetings so you can decide what to do next.

Hi Kelly-03. Unfortunately when seeking private treatment you are stuck with the clinic prices. If you feel you have cause for complaint, then take it up with the clinic ,manager. I believe in the past you have sadly suffered 3 pregnancy losses in one way or another, and wondered if this has been investigated. If you lose 3 pregnancies, then you should be referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic for investigations. Apologies if I've got this wrong, but if I'm right and you haven't been checked out, then the NHS should do this first, if you want them to. Wishing you positive success this time round. Diane

My darling Daughter I hope and pray so much for your miracle, I watch you and your lovely husband and have so much pride for you both, so strong together, when times have been unimaginably tough, you go on with your journey, and you have both suffered so much. You have worked and saved so hard, and to now have even more to pay is really not fair. Try to keep calm, that's what they all say isn't it, this is heartbreaking for you, this extra pressure is not what you need. We had our consent appointment with our clinic and all went well and we discussed the price of the consent form with them and we sorted it all out, were very lucky to have such a great clinic and team xx thankyou for all your messages xx

Wow, that is expensive. We had ours yesterday and there was no charge....everything else is costing a fortune mind you!

Maybe speak to them at the sessions and see if it's negotiable?
