Not ovulating

Hello ladies hope your all k. Ive been told to check if im ovulating for 3 months. First month checked and im not. This is my second month and still nothing. im going according to chart but still nothing. Any advice? Ive got consultants appointment next month & if i havent ovulated then he will put me on clomid. Bit confused

Hi Naz82. I didn't ovulate when we first started TTC. They like you to test over a period of time to check it's not just a one off, before they go ahead with the clomid. x

Hi Naz82. It might be an idea to ask your GP to do a Day21 progesterone blood test. You will have a definite result then to take with you when you go for your consultation. Just may save some time. It's not essential of course, as I'm sure you will still just start the course of Clomid, which hopefully will help you to conceive. Good luck! Diane

Hi Diane thanks for your reply. I had blood test done and all was okay but no idea why its not showing when i take a test.

Hi Naz82. Don't know, could be the quality/batch of sticks?? I always like to go by the blood test. It could just be intermittent, so you will still most likely need to have Clomid. Diane

Are you going by the OPK tests stick to make your personal judgement? Those never worked for me detecting a peak time but a blood test (as Diane said) will confirm categorically if you have ovulated. The blood test is more important the test sticks are just to give you hope you are trying at the optimal time. My doctor told me not to worry about the sticks and listen to the signs and symptoms of my body during my cycle.

Thankyou for your replies. To be honest im not into doing the OPK but was told by doctor to do it for 3 months.
